Oh boy, where to begin. I used to love going into the shop. Always busy on Fridays after getting in their orders, always well-stocked with cool fish and corals, and nice employees there that could answer my questions. I have purchased nearly $1000 in livestock from them in the past 8 months or so, with $250 of that being fish, the rest coral and invertebrates. As far as corals go, most of their specials are received as large colonies and cut on Thursday for sale Friday. This is fine for some species of corals, but for the more sensitive ones, this is a gamble for the customer, as it takes a few weeks for them to heal from the cutting, and some simply will not make it. Because of this, I have lost numerous pieces of coral, at least $400 worth. Given great lighting (and light acclimation), dipping to remove pests, and stellar water quality, a lot just didnt survive the next few weeks after purchase. For invertebrates (shrimp, anemones, crabs), I have not had much issue, other than a starfish and a few shrimp not make it, but the high majority have been fine and are alive to this day. For fish, this is where it gets hairy - nearly every single purchase has not survived 48 hours. Purchases include a wide variety of fish, including a coral beauty angel, royal gramma, 2x mandarins, a banggai cardinal, scooter blenny, lyretail anthias, 3x chromis, a clownfish, yellow watchman, 4x neon gobies, a Lamarcks angelfish, and most recently a very expensive wartskin anglerfish. Some of these fish are very uncommon and expensive, and out of 20 fish purchased in 8 months, 18 have perished within 48 hours - a 90% mortality rate. I have purchased fish from five other establishments in Fort Pierce, Port Saint Lucie, and Stuart, and between all of them, have had a less than 10% mortality rate, showing that it is not my quarantine procedures, medicating/treating parasites, or water quality that is the issue. They receive their fish orders on Thursday and begin selling them Friday morning, even the more sensitive species that would normally need longer to acclimate to captive life, or to (somewhat) recover from cyanide poisoning, which I am certain is how their fish are caught. This includes juvenile hippo tangs that they have been selling as of late, which I have never seen nor heard of even a single specimen surviving in captivity at such a small size (2" and smaller). Because of all of this, Friday will be the last day I set foot into their store, and it will only be to tell them what Im saying here, and that I will never purchase from them in the future unless something drastically changes. I know that, as a business, it makes sense that product should come in and go out as quickly as possible, but this is not the case when it comes to living animals, especially ones as sensitive as fish and corals.

I love this place. Best fish store around, everyone there is so helpful and knowledgeable. This place ISNT where they just want to make money these people actually care about the fish and the invertebrates. You can sit there and talk with them for 15-20 minutes even if the store is very busy. The owner is a marine biologist and really knows everything hes talking about. They have great deals every week and are generally the best priced all the fish are always healthy. They do generally only have smaller fish so if you want a big fish you might have to special order it. These people are always helpful after you buy something and go home you can call them up they know exactly who you are and what you bought without even looking anything up and they will help you with everything. I just bought a coral and I forgot the name of it I called them up they are busy and he sat there and talk to me. I asked about a lot of things for hes always so helpful. Everyone there is amazing. This is the best place.

Ive been a customer of this store since theyve opened and Ive never had a problem with their competency. Most other aquarium shops carry the same things every week and never change their stock. What I like about this place , is the fact that on any given Thursday or Friday and sometimes Saturday you can come in and see some pretty neat / rare corals and fish. their fish are always healthy and theyre tanks are never overstocked. What is also pretty nice is the fact that you can go in there and not have a clue in the world about what you are doing and they are always informative. They also have specials every week for example a blue spotted jaw fish that is usually $129 was selling there for $79 on special. In a store that has the quality, selection and price like they have, its no wonder why their stock always looks low. So I believe this store is awesome and if you want to check it out stop on by Thursday or Friday and check out their selection and prices.

Most amazing service I have received. Very impressive and honest service. They dont want to make the sale unless they can make sure your not wasting your money. They are very upfront and honest ensuring your aquarium is ready and up to par. I have just recently gotten into the aquarium scene and they have created such a success in my tank, I refuse to go any where else. They are always giving me a military discount for my fiance. They are number 1 in my book. This is a picture perfect sample of customer service, knowledge, and an amazing experience; even over the phone.

Carl Jr who owns the place and his father Carl Senior are wonderful with so much knowledge. I have been doing business with them for 2 years now. You can trouble shoot problems with your tank with them. Not too crazy about some of the other employees as they are not near as friendly but in the end if you have problem - they will fix it! The fish tanks are maintained well and if you come in and dont find any fish - its probably because they have sold out of them faster than they can get them shipped in! The upside of that, they can order you what you want:)

If youre new to the store the staff may come off as rude. This is because they dedicate 100% of their attention to one customer at a time. Just wait your turn and youll realize that they are really good people, very knowledgeable and put the success of their customers tanks above their profit margin. Ive had to bring a fish back that I just didnt like and they credited me back with no hassle. You wont find cheaper and better quality frags anywhere. The prices of their weekly specials are unheard of.

I have been going to Fintastic for 3 years. I knew nothing about my 150 gallon saltwater tank. They helped me immensely with learning about water temperature and how to maintain a healthy tank. I get all of my fish and supplies from them. They are the best as far as Im concerned. Great staff and owner who is a Marine Biologist. Thanks Fintastic for always being here.

The people here are more than helpful. Carl walked me through ever step of setting up my nano reef. They always take the time to explain the different coral and what will grow in my tank. The prices are cheeper than any online store, plus I can see it before I buy it! If your into coral, fish, or Phish you need to give these guys a visit.
