From learning about the architect Francis Abreu to history of Fort Lauderdale and the Fire-Rescue Department, this museum offers a lot! It is a non-profit run by volunteers. Although free to operates on donations. My highlight was the stories told by a firefighter who worked there while it was in operation!! Did I mention it is "certified haunted"?

Old historic view of the fort Lauderdale fire dept. The firehouse building is a historical site. The place is also certified haunted. I worked there before and I can tell you some freaky stories.
