The proprietor, Robert Holmes, was extremely RUDE to me. He insulted me and he hung up on me. I called to ask a question and he gave me a confusing answer. So I asked a clarifying question and he repeated his confusing answer. I said I was confused and he told me that I should take my confusion elsewhere and he hung up on me. Read the "Response from the owner" below and decide for yourself whether he seems rude. For the record, Im travelling with my son and its his birthday. The Meadow Creek website advertised a $50 per night birthday discount so I called to ask about it. Mr. Holmes said the discount did not apply to children, which was disappointing. He went on to say that I would be charged full price when I made the reservation and upon arrival the discount would be applied. I thought that was confusing so I asked if I was eligible for the discount. And he repeated himself, almost verbatim. Why would he tell the discount would be applied upon arrival if I wasnt eligible for the discount? Thats when I said I was confused. And thats when he told me to take my confusion elsewhere and he hung up on me. The phone call lasted 4 min 49 sec. I found another nearby property near Pine on Airbnb. Its a cabin, it looks great and it costs less. I had a question for the Airbnb property owners and I got a quick, coherent and polite answer. Im looking forward to visiting Pine! I read some other bad reviews.... Do your research.

We could not have found a better venue for our wedding this summer! We were so grateful to have an entire weekend to spend enjoying the beautiful grounds at Meadow Creek B&B and spending extra time with friends and family. We had our closest friends stay the weekend at the bed and breakfast, and we had a pizza party the night before the wedding for out of towners. The day of the wedding it was wonderful to wake up in the Meadow Cabin, in the middle of the field where we were about to say our “I do’s”. It was an absolutely perfect day. We really wanted a Colorado mountain wedding, and being new to the area we had to spend a lot of time looking around and considering different locations and options. Meadow Creek was by far the most beautiful, cost effective venue we visited. It was nice that so much was included in the venue package, from breakfasts to valet parking to bartenders. Rob will go through every item with you and you can tailor the services to your wishes if you just ask. It left a lot less for us to worry about. Rob was very hands on and helpful with sorting out all of the details you would never think about. He has so many years of experience that he is able to take from to help you sort through it all. Thank you Rob and staff for a wonderful day that we will remember forever!

We were lucky enough to arrive at MCL late evening in the middle of a snow storm. The Lodge was not only a magnificent site in the charmingly lit snowy night but was beautiful, warm and welcoming within. Comfort and charm were tucked in to every nook and cranny. Delightful conversations with other guests were enjoyed in the great room in front of a large stone fireplace, sitting on over stuffed leather chairs. Our room, the Aspen, was comfortable, cozy and only steps from the outside hot tub and indoor sauna, perfect for our snowy weekend. Rob was there to meet us with a warm smile in the morning as he prepared his tasty breakfasts which were a culinary treat to both the eye as well as the palette. House staff were warm and helpful going out of there way to meet our every wish and need, and Kelly Ann, the property protector was there to accompany us with her wagging tail on relaxing walks around the property. We would recommend MCL highly and even plan to take advantage of their gift certificates to treat some loved one.

A group of us rented out this bed and breakfast. Being involved in business, I am fairly familiar with the bed and breakfast scene. Typically the home owner will work around the group, even dividing breakfast into an early morning and late morning event to accommodate flights etc. After all, what is the true purpose of a bed and breakfast but to provide a more personal catered experience than a hotel. Half of our group was leaving early whereas the other half was leaving late. This owner did not accommodate us at all. Instead told us brusquely that breakfast was served at 9am and then when questioned about early breakfast he stated he would "show us how to turn the coffee machine on." He commented on some stale sweets that looked like they had been under glass for a few days. The rooms were dated, but clean. I was very disappointed with this stay, I paid a high price for a room I was barely in and did not get breakfast. If you have a tight schedule, perhaps you are better looking elsewhere.

I brought my wife here as a surprise for her birthday. It was important to me that everything remain a surprise for as long as possible and, due to some collaboration with Rob, everything turned out very well. We stayed in the Colorado Sun Suite and absolutely loved it. The in room hot tub and sauna were fantastic. Breakfast was perfect and the stuffed french toast in particular was the best Ive ever had. The room and house could have used a bit of TLC in a few areas, but everything that mattered was good to go. The house and grounds had a lot of character and were quite charming. Id give the house and room 4 stars and the experience 5 stars. Most importantly, my wife is still talking about how much she loved it. Mission accomplished.

We were married at Meadow Creek in October 2015. After researching several venues in the area, we ultimately chose Meadow Creek. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and we rented out the entire grounds for our guests from Friday to Sunday for an affordable cost. The staff, including the owner Rob, were extremely attentive, and did a fantastic job with planning and preparation. Rob worked with us on the alcohol selection and we were able to bring some seasonal pumpkin beer for our guests, which we really appreciated. The breakfast both days was excellent. Our big day went off perfectly without a hitch.

The setting is beautiful, that i cant deny. Easy to find and far enough away from the city to get a good mountain experience. But the downside: we didnt get to experience all it had to offer. He double booked our wedding and we didnt find out until a month before, making the 8 months of prep and planning worthless. Rob does seem more interested in his profit than anything else, is very pushy and barely lets you get a word in when talking with him. We did get a full refund but thats nothing compared to the stress and frusration he has put me and my fiance through. If you use them, be cautious and thorough.

Such a great experience. We planned a last minute weekend getaway and found Meadow Creek through Google searches. We feel so grateful that this is the bed & breakfast we landed on. We really found a gem! The staff, especially Ann, was phenomenal and really pulled it all together. Laid back, simple, peaceful, delicious breakfast. My fiance and I were the only people staying on the main floor of the house, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We played games in the main room, enjoyed the hot tub, and went for a short hike. It was just the weekend we needed away from the city.
