Maybe I am being a snob, but I expect more from a category 4 hotel. Perhaps Palo Alto just has very different standards in hotels. More importantly, perhaps I should have done a bit more research before booking. As a platinum member, I was shocked to find that my room was on the first floor in an area not connected to the main hotel. It was also really loud as I was near the pool, at least they have one. The room itself was just depressing. It had a bad musty smell in the room. It also looks like ti hadnt been renovated since 1990. The bathroom was the worst part about the "oldness," Im no germ-a-phobe, but I was not excited to have to shower there. The gym facilities was pretty poor as well. At least it was close to where I needed to go and they offered a free shuttle to get me there and pick me up. I had a corporate rate so it was cheapish but I would have been really disappointed if I stayed here on my own dime and was greeted with these accommodations. The staff was nice and the bed comfy enough, but I would not stay here again if I could avoid it.

Very convenient location. The bed was comfortable but the room felt sterile. White lights and odd/outdated furnishings. Everything was very worn. When I first got in my room, I had some things to refrigerate and when I opened it, it was off and had water all over the shelves. My travel partner walked into her room for the first time and the tv was on and the sliding door was open (at 10pm). They immediately out her in a new room when she called reception. On the day I was to check out, I had people knocking on my door 3 times within two hours after I had communicated with the front desk when I was to check out. There seemed to be a big gap in communication between grounds staff and reception. Ill come back, but mostly because Ive heard this is pretty much the best in the area in comparison to other hotels and not as accessible locations. But Im a little bummed that this is "the best".

The quality of the rooms is fine: the room is clean and has basic amenities (no fridge, though, which is convenient for leftovers). I was upgraded to a more spacious room without charge without having to ask (though the person ahead of me checking in got the same upgrade, so I assume the hotel was relatively empty and it was cheap way to earn goodwill). The room is relatively expensive and not that convenient to the office I was visiting (I chose it because of how close it was). My reservation included internet access, but I didnt realize it based on the wording of the initial internet screen which said I would pay for each night of access.

Rooms were good for a hotel of this category. But, the AC was not working. They gave us another room which had the problem of water clogging. Because of long weekend, the lounge was not open for breakfast. So, they gave us restaurant vouchers. The server at the restaurant was arrogant and misguided us about the available menu options for breakfast. The location and ambience of the hotel though is nice. But,because of this experience, we would think twice before coming back here.

This is a nice business hotel. My only complaint is that the TV doesnt have an HDMI input (or you cannot connect your laptop) and that theres no HBO. Keep in mind that this hotel is in the middle of nowhere (it is close to Sunnyvale, but you need a car anyway) so if you prefer to stay in the room it would be nice to have TV options. Pet friendly, with places for the dog to do business, bags and trash cans. Good service, both from the front desk and cleaning service.

I stay at this hotel regularly for business, have been there for 10 years on and off. I had an upcoming trip that I found the hotel booked. I emailed the manager, Brandon Carter, who was able to accommodate my two night stay. The attached restaurant Faz, offers great meals, and a wonderful wine selection. The grounds are immaculate. Due to the location (Silicon Valley) it is more of a business hotel, than a family one. However, I often see families enjoying the pool.

Basically a three star mhotel, at full service hotel prices. Theres a tiny lounge with decent beers in the evenings, service is cheerful and reasonably helpful, and apparently there restaurant is decent (havent tried it myself though). Rooms are dated but for the most part clean, toiletries are standard for Sheratons. All in all, not awful. But for the price you are paying, you could do a lot better in San Francisco proper.

Stayed here for 3 nights last week and the room was great. But being a SPG Gold member, they put me in front of the ice/vending machine room which wasnt so nice. When I asked to change rooms they gave me somewhat of an attitude. After the room was transferred, i had double charges for internet access. Took awhile to get removed too. Overall good property if you dont have to deal with the staff. Otherwise, good luck :)

Undergoing sorely needed renovation but it would have been nice to know in advance or discounted since the same price as other star wood properties in the area. Construction tape and workers throughout the hotel, wifi was useless, the temporary workout room was sad, cold, no towels, no tv and treadmill was a ting up. Fazs restaurant was pretty good with excellent chicken kebobs, lamb etc.

This place was rented for me on a business trip, and was completely underwhelming compared to the price. Vending machines that only took cash but didnt accept cash, $50 incidental hold on my card for a room without a mini-bar (one $4 bottle of water hardly merits a $50 hold). It felt very much like an airport hotel, very barebones, stark white lighting. It was acceptable, but not welcoming.

I stayed in a king room. It was clean, dry, and cool. The bed wasnt quite what I am used to for firmness, but still plenty comfortable. I loved that the fan in the bathroom seemed to keep things very well ventilated. It seemed to keep things dry and clean. The wifi is about $10 a day, which is not great, but okay for work travel.

Beautiful garden hotel and super accommodating to guests. They easily arranged for a cab for me to work in silicon valley in the morning and covered the fare while their regularly available shuttle was offline temporarily. Fast response to my calls and requests throughout my stay as well. I will definitely be back.

I always have a pleasant experience at the Sheraton Sunnyvale. The front desk staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the pool looks nice. Its not a high end hotel by any means, contrary to what its typically high price would lead you to believe. But its the Bay Area and most hotels are expensive.

Mediocre facilities, sound proofing nonexistent (could hear whoever was next door sneeze), overpriced internet access ($10 a day for a subpar connection). My first 2 days there, there system was down, and they could not make keys. Staff had to walk people to their room every time they wanted to get in!

Wifi isnt free if youre not with a large travel party. Pool is really nice and large enough for people to gather around and not take over the whole area. Rooms are nice and spacious. Stayed here twice and sinks dont have any temperature but cold with low water pressure.
