I love the view from this park! Although I dont think this is much of a park more than a viewpoint. There are several entrances to the top of this "park" and both have quite a few steps. I havent been here in a few years and I noticed that one of the entrances where there used to be wooden stairs has now been renovated and the wooden stairs are much more solid with metal handrails. Very nice improvement! One thing Ive noticed as well is that it is typically very chilly up here. Regardless of how nice it is outside. Perhaps its the elevation? So dress in layers if you plan to stay up here for long. And it is also rather windy.

San Francisco has so many great lookout points that it’s difficult to narrow down the best one. Some of the more well-known lookout points include Twin Peaks and Coit Tower, but if you want to find a lookout point that’s a bit more secluded, then one of my favorites is at Grand View Park. Located on Moraga St between 14th and 15th Ave, this park offers a great 360-view of the City and is mostly visited by locals from the nearby neighborhoods. Try to go when its clear out for the best view. When its warm, bring some beers/wine to enjoy but make sure to take the trash with you!

I love stairs. I love great views. I love wine. I love sunsets. I love my husband. Definitely five stars. My husband lives a few blocks away, and we walked up about 45 minutes before sunset, took in the view from all angles before grabbing a spot facing the ocean, and [may have] sipped on some white wine while we watched the sun set. Its a beautiful oasis amongst the urban dwellings. I love it! P.S. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge from here!

Turtle Hill is what we called it in my youth. The Mountain too. Of course there was nothing there but fun climbing and hide and seek. Wed pack a lunch and spend the day. The walk home (to 22nd Ave. was a breeze compared to the hike up there). One more thing, there were still vacant lots all over the neighborhood in which we built some amazing forts, cement and rebar and whatever other building materials we found. Good times.

Ive been living in Daly City for 5 years now and never heard of the place until i accidentally drove by with my family. Its an amazing discovery, the stairs is really eye catching and colorful, a good exercise with an amazing 360 degree view from the top of the hill. I felt like a tourist from out of town after i reached the top. This experience drove me to discover more interesting parks nearby that are free and family friendly.

I love visiting the city, and this park is always on my itinerary. This park in combination to the Tiled Steps always complete my day. The heights from here are simply the best, because it is beautiful from every angle, 360 degrees. Panoramic photos are a must here. Its a great place to take anyone from out of town. Its a lovely spot that will help introduce the beautiful views of San Francisco.

This place is a hidden gem in San Francisco. Our Uber driver had never driven to it before. The views driving up to it are gorgeous. Once youve climbed up, youll notice the breeze rushing past. It can get chilly, and especially on an overcast day feels very witchy. I dont want to be overly descriptive; its an experience best seen/felt for yourself! Take a date! Its a very romantic spot.

Para complementar las vistas desde Twin Peaks, merece la pena ir a este mirador para ver la zona oeste de la ciudad y además ver lo impresionante que es el Golden Gate Park

On the plus side, its a rare opportunity to see and learn to understand the interaction of dune and Franciscan rock that formed San Francisco. You can look out over row on row of Doelger housing streets in the Sunset and visualize them reverting to a vast dune field. On a clear day, that is. The minus side is: on a foggy day theres no view from Grand View.

Came here with my friend who came to visit from Taiwan! Wanted to show her a good place to take photos of the city. The best view in the house! No tourists but some mosquitos. Came here at night and got bit by a few :( but the view is A+ and totally worth it. Remember to wear some thick pants when you come here during the summer.

What a great find! The place has awesome views of the Sunset/Richmond and these means you have a view of the ocean. The hike up there isnt so bad, its very close to 16th/Moraga so you can see the mosaic tiled steps. Pretty cool history, you can read about how its one of the last san dunes in SF. Its like a mini Twin Peaks.

A very beautiful park with great panoramic views of San Francisco and Golden Gate Park. I would definitely recommend a visit. This is on top of a hill and when I visited, it was very very windy (as if I was going to get blown over) so make sure you dress appropriately and watch kids if you bring them.

This is a small viewpoint at the top of the photogenic Moraga Ave mosaic staircase. Views from the top of the hill are pretty, but not as spectacular as from nearby Mount Davidson or Twin Peaks. Very limited street parking, but easy to walk here from the Irving Street business district to the north.

If you are looking for epic San Francisco vistas without the tourists, this spot is for you. To the south you can see Daly City, in particular Seton Hospital. To the west are the regular, rectangular blocks that make up the Sunset District, and oh, to the north is the Golden Gate Bridge.

I just wanted to leave a tip for people who dont want to climb the long zig zag stairs. Theres another set of stairs on the eastern side of the park that starts from 14th Ave. It goes straight up to the park and takes less steps without the zig zagging silliness. Youre welcome.

Quiet well keep neighborhood park. Great place for a picnic. Dogs are welcomed and although its not fenced, dogs run freely mostly in the center of the park. Theres a childrens playground, putter green, and public restrooms. Overly a nice place to spend a peaceful afternoon.

Right next to the Moraga Steps! Another wonderful view of the city! And it has some epic Cedar trees to take pictures next to! It really makes you feel like you are on top of the world! Great place to take visitors to :)

Absolutely beautiful 360 panoramic views of San Francisco. Today was clear and you can see twin peaks tower, downtown SF, all of golden gate to ocean beach. Take the hidden garden steps on 16th street. A must visit.

I used to love coming to this place because it was so isolated and very few people ventured to the top of the hill. Now it is overcrowded with tourists and locals. It is still worth the trip and the steps.

This is an undiscovered SF gem. The 360 degree views from the top of this park are exceptional. We love climbing up and taking a look at our beautiful city from the Pacific Ocean to the city skyline.

Okay view. Not much to see as most of the city is blocked by twin peaks. Very very dark at night (zero lights). Good place to go to get away from the city while still close.
