Came in here on a Friday night with my friends, the inside was not crowded at all but the pompous security guard/prick at the door seemed to want to create a line outside. Fortunately the line moved relatively quickly, but this interior did not warrant a lengthy line outside by any means. As for the drinks, they were 2 dollars on Friday so that was pretty cool, plus they came with some sort of appetizer plate (1 item on butter plate), albeit tasty, and the effort was appreciated. On a more critical note, the glasses we received were warm as if they had just come out of the dishwasher, and the ice melted almost immediately, rendering the drink useless. In the back bar the dance floor was fun, but with usual creepers lurking. I accidentally posted up at the bar next to the smoke machine and was covered in the smell for the next hour or so, which was unpleasant. Overall, I would only go back to this place for the cheapness of the drinks, but not really impressed by the atmosphere. A VERY GENEROUS 3 STARS JOHNNY...

Worst service Ive ever received at a bar/restaurant. I was visiting San Diego and learned that this establishment was a "Michigan" bar for the locals that are alums of the university. When I arrived it took the bartender 15 minutes to acknowledge that i had even taken a seat at the bar and another 20 minutes to get a drink. I had asked for a menu and I waited 1:15 minutes for someone to finally even make their way down to thebarebofnthe bar I was sitting. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner of this establishment and even more so being a Michigan alumn! If I were a local I would insist on this establishment take down all of it Michigan decorations and flags as this place is nowhere deserving to claim to represent an institution such as Michigan! Go Blue! Johnny Vs close your doors!

Ordered 3 adioss, not one had an ounce of alcohol in it. I pointed it out to the bartendar and all 3 seemed to not know who made our drinks. So then a bartendar proceeded to fix the situation by asking me what type of alcohol i wanted in my drink, i said "i dont know, whatever is in an adios thats what i want". He asked me again ok what do you want. I DONT KNOW IM NOT A BARTENDER!!! So i just asked for tequila. This is the type of place if they think your drunk, theyll give you straight Juice. My friend who ordered it was drunk but i was not. On top of that, the music was turned off at 1:25am and the were pushing us out saying they were closed.

I would give a 0 if I could! I would come to the bar EVERYTIME I was in town. A terrible bar tender had the nerve to mistake me for a group of people that were not tipping her... and said "I wont serve you bc this corner has not been tipping all night."... mind you I had been tipping $3 to $4 each drink she served. Very unprofessional to compare me to anyone else and to state that aloud when in a business of customer service. I spoke with the manager and he was a waste of time... over $200 wasted! Never again!

Marvin was our server, and although i was disappointed the drafts were down he took care of us on industry sunday and i was very impressed with the lengths they went to keep us happy. Free pool is nice, although the tables could use some love. All in all an enjoyable evening. **update ive been here 3 more times and the service has gotten better and better. I drive 30m from alpine just to ride bikes and hang here. Thanks again****

Excellent place, friendly staff, very welcomed. This place is huge lot of comfortable seating! Had a burger and fries,wife had the sampler sliders w/French fries we ate all the fries which we usually dont. All made perfect to the taste. 35 plus televisions, if its not on the TV youre sitting near ask they likely will change it for you. Forgot to mention the charming decor, upclass and inexpensive! We will be back!!

This a favorite for Friday Happy Hours! There are great drink specials which come with free mini-apps. The place gets pretty crowded and they will extend the HH if the crowd is large enough. The dance area is fun but we generally stay in the bar area and tables if they are open. Great place to unwind after a hard week and the crowd in PB is always up for good times; central location easy to migrate as the night progresses.

Johnny Vs is a great place for dancing - the music is good and the food is great! The bar is often crowded at night so it may be hard to find a place to sit. But if you can get a table for your group I recommend checking it out! We went for a friends birthday and everyone really liked the food and atmosphere. There were several different seating areas and the inside is nicely decorated.

Closed at 0130, this isnt the only bar who kick out early. Security dont walk around enough. Drink bottle are $4. The draft beer were wrong drinks, someone attached them wrong in back. I then had to get bottles. Cover charge $5, I tried to call before hand but they never answered their phone calls. All this and no beach view? Wave house is better especially when they have concerts.

never been to the place ,I called the owner today from Chicago to complain to him about my daughter experience every time she goes to this place some body steals her I phone actually twice first in nov.2013 and then last week .so I would cautious every body from the cell phone thieves at this place .

Im not gonna hate in the whole place but to turn people away because they arent dressed up is stupid. Somebody may have started out in bar that was a little bit more casual and want to go check out johnny vs but cant get in because you have to dress up in PB. Nobody from San Diego goes in there.

Worst experience in PB ever. This is considered one of the main dallas cowboy bars in San Diego. 7 of us ordered food at the beginning of 2nd quarter. food was served cold at 8mins into 4th quarter. Staff was unfriendly and did not offer or give us a discount

They had a beer pong tournament on a SATURDAY night. What kind of place does that on a weekend night?? We were there at 11 and got kicked out of our table so beer pong players could have it as a side table. Also, service at the bar was ok

Went here for their happy hour after nine and had a great time. $3 off all appetizers and cheap drinks. Can honestly say the appetizers were some of the best Ive had in sometime. Planning on going again very soon.

Went here to eat today and watch the games, the service was absolutely horrible. Had to wait minimum of 30-minutes before getting first drink. tables were dirty, food was to greasy. not a good experience for us.

The look of this place is kinda cool with the inside out look. Ive only been here on Friday nights when the drinks are cheap and include a free small appetizer. I prefer to call it Johnny 5, like the robot.
