I played a tournament there today. The course was challenging and in ok condition. However there are no amenities what so ever. No bathrooms, No Water, No Tee marker signs & No refreshment carts on the course at all. We were the first of two tournaments. They booked the starting times too close together so we had course officials telling us to hurry up several times during our round even though our group was not holding up play of the one following us. We were playing ready golf as best we could and it sucks to be rushed. Our tournament included a box lunch which was literally tossed into our cart by a passing course employee with 4 holes to play along with another request to hurry up. Oh and the box lunch was without a drink (dry sandwich no water on course). I played a good round that should have been fun if not for the lousy service and lack of basic facilities. I won’t be returning.

Morgan Creek is one of the top courses in the Sac area. I first played it when it was a private club & the course was as good as the other top clubs in Sac. The course was really tough back then but they have softened the course to make it more user friendly. Its heavily shaped but has a couple unique greens typically seen in area public courses. MCGC was originally designed (not sure who did renovations) by architect Kyle Phillips who has done some great work such as Kingsbarns, Cal Club, Menlo and Del Paso and hes a local guy based out of Granite Bay. Theyve also renovated the pro shop, snack bar, 19th hole and its a beaut! They have a serviceable range, tough though in the early AM as you are hitting into the sun. The large practice putting green is great and there is a nice little short game green with bunker too. All in all a nice little spot in Roseville.

HORNETS HORNETS HORNETS HORNETS HORNETS HORNETS and then some more HORNETS. This golf course is basically UNPLAYABLE because of the enormous amounts of hornets everywhere on the course. Literally every single step you take on the course either on the tee or on the green you will be swarmed by hornets flying around you and yes they do sting. It is really a shame because the course itself is in very good condition and it is a very nice course but because of the unbelievable amount of hornets it is basically unplayable. The staff need to hire someone to at least attempt to try and get rid of some of the hornets because it is ridiculous how many hornets on this course there are. Until they get the hornet situation under control I would not recommend coming to this course.

This used to be a country club? Wow, I have played at most of the top courses in California and this was a true disappointment. For one, their club house is basically a club shack. The food options on the menu consist of 3 items - an eggs/bacon option, breakfast burrito, and something else not worth remembering. The course itself was ok - maybe a step up above a good kept muni. The greens were fast, as long as people didnt scrape the thin layer of the green with their spikes. I would not return here nor recommend you drive out to the boonies to play this course.

The club house, pro shop, staff and the food (for a golf course) was great! The course on the other hand had some issues. The design and flag placement were awasome and has a beautiful scenery. Its the condition that was the issue, greens had quite a few divots and the fairways had drainage issues. I do understand that it rained the day before(around june 1st) but the damage seemed to be over an extended period of time. I will be back and hope the course is in better condition next time I come out to play.

Love the staff here. After you come a few times they address you by your first name! Food is always good. I recommend their signature ponzu wings. The course was much harder when it was private but realistically as a public course its not feasible to keep pace of play for the multitude of hackers out there. This course is a lot less busy and in better condition than almost all the public courses in Sacramento. They do have a lot of tournaments here so I would definitely book a tee time in advance.

Really nice venue for a wedding because they have nice sunset views, along with options for a ceremony outside. I cant say much about golfing because I never golfed here. Check out my photos on their website, you can see where the sunsets and how nice their setup is. I have not worked with the new coordinator, but talking to her briefly and unlike the last one, she seems pretty bright and caring about your wedding.

Best value golf I have played in years. I loved the greens and their condition. Be aware the greens have a wonderful design that uses many levels and greats slopes. Our seniors group from Granite Bay GC and Arrow Creek GC just had a great time and enjoyed our day. There are some challenging hole designs that will test your accuracy but the greens accept the ball from everywhere.

I love this course. I feel staff is very friendly. Greens are some of the best around. It is a harder course so bring your "A" game. I am a 16 handicap and have a tough time playing from the blues. But i think in the long run it makes me a better player. Very good golf value. Menu is much improved and I have yet to have any bad food from club house.

Wonderful staff and DELICIOUS food at the events hall. Recently attended a wedding and we were treated to a loaded mashed potato bar, a fabulous charcuterie buffet, prime rib, and a pasta bar, loved the station set ups for a wedding. Also, the course is a lovely backdrop even in the rain!

If youre a hacker, youre not going to like this course. But if you can control your good ball and hit to spots, you will find Morgan Creek to be challenging and fun. 11 is tough as nails, and 14 is a puzzle that I havent solved yet.

The facilities may be lacking for a wedding or other event, but the golf course is awesome. Best conditions Ive seen in the sac area for public golf! Go play it before they decide to go back to private!

Nice course, played on 9/7/16. Greens lil rough but big and variable. My only suggestion is to mark the tee box "colors" I couldnt tell what color the markers were on the tee box.

I played bloody awful but the course was in good shape. Holes 10-11-12&14 are quite possibly the worst holes I have ever played. The club house is nice and so is the reasturant.

Nice course. Good staff. Nice rates. Good condition. Only thing is they have a great bar and restaurant but close early, sometimes before we are even done playing golf.

Very beautiful place to do your wedding but the venue could be better.
