I really liked the course except for the dogleg green where if you landed on one part of the green you literally could not putt the ball to the section that had the pin. Picture a cloverleaf. Also fairly typical South Orange County course. Narrow fairways with steep slopes on the sides often covered in nasty thick brush. And Monarch added several strategically located ponds because these desert courses arent hard enough. Bring a lot of balls and have fun.

I am really torn because the course is definitely 5 stars, but I was disappointed that the "driving" range was 4 nets set up next to each other. Its nice that you dont have to pay for the balls at the range, but I think range practice can be just as much a part of the scenery as a round sometimes. For example, the Strawberry Farms range is a great day out, even if you dont play on their beautiful course after.

We loved it. Great challenging course, great food and great people. Shout out to John Grey who was so awesome, helpful, professional yet friendly. He is a great asset to your property. We will be back. My husband is about to start in his new company nearby and definitely a place to go for bussiness tournament. Thank u John Grey for all ur help today. I really enjoyed the course. The design was great, each hole was very unique. There were some renovations which made a few holes less enjoyable then they would have otherwise been. When the renovations are finished the course will be excellent!

Great resort and location, excellent service on and off course. The course itself is overpriced for the condition, and the layout is unwalkable and an awkward combination of resort/canyon/oceanside holes.

I have been a Crown Club member for years. Lately it is hard as hell to book a tee time, website is not consistent. When I called to let the course know, I was put on hold for 15 minutes. Not fun!!

Food was delicious, service was authentic and atmosphere was pleasant. Sitting out on the patio watching Ocean and pool view was great. Atmosphere was very pleasant and beautiful

3.5 stars. Its a nice course, definitely a good layout and the people are very nice. The problem is the course is under renovations abs the course conditions were not great.
