We purchased tickets a few months ago to see Jay Leno perform last night. We had upper balcony seats, not even considering that there would be a problem with the sound. I feel that I must let you know that we, and surrounding people, had a terrible time trying to hear what he was saying. It was so disappointing, because we know it was a great show by the response of the audience that could hear and enjoy his show. Hopefully this problem can be rectified for audiences of future shows so everyone and enjoy the performance. Thank you, Sandra

Possibly the most beautiful theatre I have ever seen in my life. I am so excited to see The Robert Cray Band this month! And the Growlers in December should be fantastic. Theyve had to move their smaller acts from The Lobby to the main stage due to sound complaints, which I thought would be kind of a drag, but I saw The Tumbleweed Wanderers there last night, and it was pretty stunning, everyone standing and swaying in a sea of red velvet chairs. I hear that Le Vice had an energetic crowd on Friday. Delicious beer too.

Sunday the 18th Golden State theater shut down the Mavericks show after only one hour an 15 minutes for some unknownpm reason and we all waited for some one to tell us why it was shut down to no avail l thought that nonsense because we all paid for full show. Shame on you Golden State. Last time I go to the Golden State if thay can shut down a show when ever thay want disregardin all the patrons who who paid hard earned money for a full show.

Some seats (upper balcony) sub standard for average human use. No kidding, not enough room from your seat back to next seat back for the femur to fit (no im not overweight;). Otherwise, its an awesome theater. Sorry I drug my mother and niece here for their first impression of live music.

Went to a film festival here over the weekend. Not only is the decor elegant and simply darling, the seating is incredibly comfortable and they have great popcorn and a good selection at the bar.

We went here to see Art Garfunkel; the show was super and the environment and acoustics were great for this type of music. Look forward to returning here for other shows.

I had no troubles here. The restrooms are outdated and a bit of a bother when crowded, but overall a great experience to perform at at be an audience member at.

Old school movie house that hosts special movie screenings and other entertaining events such as comedians and shows. The place is a walk back in time.

Great place to see a concert. Have seen Dr John, Jeff Bridges and Gillian Welch. Sounds good from every place Ive sat downstairs.

Haunted. Creepy. Odd place. You never want to be in there alone. Very beautiful and a piece of Monterey history for sure though.

Classic old California building. Appealing period furnishings. We went to see a concert there and really enjoyed the venue.

There is a church that meets there every Sunday with services @ 9 & 11am and it is soooooo beautiful inside
