After stopping at Ritz and grabbing a cup of coffee at the bar on the beach, I was taking a walk along the coast with my 20 months old son on my shoulders and trying to find access to the beach when a man about 100 yards ahead started yelling at me and ordering me to leave, using words like "hey you, stop right there youre not supposed to be here, if you continue walking, youll get hit with your child and your cup..." I was slightly offended by the tone, but since it was my fault that I had accidentally walked into the golf course path, I quietly turned around without saying a single word and walked back to public access path. Minutes later I heard screeching of golf cart wheels behind me, same man in khaki slacks got out of his cart approached us and started yelling at us using words like "f... idiot", etc. I was totally blown away but kept calm and decided not to escalate. Management refused to take any action and just apologized. Certainly didnt feel like happy place to us with some very arrogant and rude people.

Tee time : 2016-09-26 8:51 four some Play started : 9:20 Staff at the start : tall, old and snobby Golf cart : new one, electronic, scorecard(+), towel(+), tees(+), course or green map(-), drinking water preparation(-), club cleaning box(-), green repair apparatus(-) Course : Access to the 1st tee was confusing. There was no mark on every hole. If you are stranger here, be careful to find the next tee ground. Fairway : it was fair ways. Green : fast and very well managed. I love it. Scenery : seaside is good, otherwise average. Food in clubhouse : I ordered club sandwitch. Served amount was huge, twice as my capacity. tastes good. Overall grade is no more than average.

I loved this course, though we got very lucky. We scheduled an early season round, Easter weekend, and were expecting rain. Apparently, so was everyone else so when we showed up the course was empty. So was the sky, so we were able to play on an amazing course and didnt see another human the whole time. We played the old course (non-Scottish one) and it was great. The last few holes are really what you come to play. The views are amazing, simply breathtaking. I will warn you though, they dont have practice facilities so that first hole may be a little rough. I recommend ending your round on the patio of the Ritz sipping an old fashion watching the sunset.

Great course; layout is really interesting and quite varied. I found the grass really great and conducive to good ball striking. I found the greens slick and took me a while to get used to them. My only criticism, and it is small, is that their are not hole layout diagrams on the scorecard or on the tees which made for a bit of guesswork; still I scored well. I played the old course which closes with 2 specular view holes. I would love to play it again with my newfound course knowledge.

Went to park on the public parking with the code they provide, a male parking cars didnt allow me, then i found a spot without the "valet" mark... He told me to dont park there either, there were lots of other people parking didnt told none of them... Of course they have expensive cars and were in bunches not a poor alone female with an old compact car... Felt terrible, even with a gorgeous view... Why Im not conducted respectfully to a right spot instead of being harassed by a valet?

Parkland style golf course, surrounded by houses like a residential golf course, only the last few holes are without houses. First 1-14 holes nothing spectacular, last holes better, 16-18 good, great finishing hole along the coast. Standard Greenfee: $200 which is overprized, not worth it. Ocean course much better. For this greenfee you dont need to play the course.

If you enjoy 6 hour rounds of golf, this place is for you. They scheduled 4 consecutive foursomes in the middle of a Thursday playing a scramble. We teed off at 1:30 and barely finished before dark. One of the worst golfing experiences ever. Dont bother with this place, there are too many other golf options in the Bay Area

The staff (grounds keepers, and managerial) are very nice and professional. The guests are mostly nice but they get a little dangerous when driving the golf carts (not warning others and driving too fast and silently!) It is a beautiful course both in terms of design and location on the coastal cliffs of Half Moon Bay.

I may be in the minority but like ocean over old although ocean is not really a links course. Old has a great closing hole although not crazy about the rest of that course. Very good practice green including short game but no driving range. Gotta go down the road to a scruffy but in a way charming independent range.

An effort to drive to get there but all the worthwhile as you enjoy an immaculate golf course. Choose your tee box and either challenge yourself or play a leisurely round. I recommend to Play both courses in the same day and follow it up with a nice beverage with a relaxing ocean view.

Nice course, but really bad managed. Far too many people on the course. Sometimes 3 flights sit on the tee box, 1 cart services 16 holes and the only service on the turn is closed btw its a Sunday in June ( not exactly off season) . Could expect more from a course claiming this level
