The venue is beautiful. My wife and I and a few of our friends went to see Shen Yun on Saturday, 2/21/2015. The venue was so stuffy and warm. The orchestra was amazing. BUT, please read this about Shen Yun. The bright colors were nice, the flexibility of the dancers was impressive. We left at the intermission though because of the politic undertones of the show. I am not surprised that the show is prohibited in China. I am a white American female and I was uncomfortable with it. I thought it would be similar to Cirque du Soleil and I was very disappointed with the show. Way overpriced! Also, the backdrops were cheesy. I would NOT recommend Shen Yun but I will give the Center for the Arts another try.

I love this place. My dad told me about it probably a couple years ago. He was saying that he used to go to this place all the time when he was in high school and knew I would love it. I live quite a bit of ways from California Center for the Arts, Escondido but being such a music fanatic I make a trip out there at least once a month. I never leave empty handed! My favorite thing is to go through all the vinyls. I spend hours in there! The environment is awesome, reasonably priced music, and its just a damn cool place. There arent many record stores left... Especially in my area, so its nice to be able to support local music stores!

Les Miserables! During the first few acts I had no idea what was happening. I knew this was a musical but I didnt read Wikipedia or cliffs notes before. The performance was enjoyable but my favorite part was seeing little kids belt their voices out. Wow amazing if I could only do that too. The costumes were great and the orchestra seating maybe viewing ideal. I was sweep away by the singing and felt like I was in the French Revolution. I will try to see more plays and musicals because I am hooked.

Went here for a birthday party one month ago as I never knew this place existed. Excellent place for 18 months to 6-7 year olds. Lots a fun stuff for the kids, dressing up cloths, climbing frames, educational activities etc. All under one roof in a safe environment. Went here again for a second this week as it was raining and again the kids had a blast. Little on the expensive side, but I only paid for the day. Im sure theyll have membership discounts.

Super lame for a concert. A very beautiful and well designed venue for a theatre or opera function, but hands down one of the lamest venues Ive ever been to for live music (in this case, Primus on 11/23/14). NO general admission, just seating, and absolutely NO local/neighborhood bars for pre or post gaming. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Nice staff, drinks are reasonable. Would never ever go back for another show there.

Beautiful venue for dance performances. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The only negative is that there are no vending machines or food/drink sources on site for feeding hungry or thirsty little performers. You have to leave the "campus-site" to purchase these. When dancers are at competition for 6-7-8+ hours this is hard so pack snacks and drinks!!! (For consumption in the dressing area or just outside the theatre.)

I have been here for shows, a Gala, and for job workshops. It is clean and well maintained. We went to watch Little Mermaid and Peter Pan. Both shows had young performers who were very impressive in their art. The Gala was held in their banquet hall. It was a good size for a few hundred people and the food was great! I would recommend this place for a party or even for shows! Plenty of parking and close to freeways!

Weve been a vendor for events here and attendees as well. Always enjoyable and a great group of people to work with. The performing arts theater is quite impressive. A friend hired us to provide linens for her birthday. She sang most impressive opera -- breathtaking. Our daughter performed as a fashion model for other events. Having an event here is a great way to support performing arts activities.

Beautiful venue for performing artists. Picturesque grounds, lots of free parking, comfortable seating with a clear view of the stage from every seat, spacious lobby for the audience to move about, a wine bar - a nearly perfect theatrical theater. However, it does not have WiFi for public access (ideally free) which is needed for those events which only provide their program online. 4.5 stars.

I have been attending the jazz jam sessions this year ... 3 of 5 so far, with number 4 coming up tonight. Can I give more than 5 stars? The talent available for these sessions are ... I cant find an adequate superlative. To see the local talents that sign up to perform with the quartet, with no rehersal ... I am amazed. (Not to mention entertained.)

Great intimate theater to catch a show! I attended Theatre Royals production of "Les Miserables" & found the California Center for the Arts quite charming. Not a huge venue, which allowed everything to seem more personal. Easy to find & free parking! Highly recommend!

So many nice events throughout the year to participate in or attend. The grounds are neat and clean. The WOW Wednesday free concert series are going on now. Enjoy a free concert the first Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. Now through Spring 2017!

Great venue for events and shows. Just photographed the Escondido State of the City with Mayor Sam Abed and the City Council. Looked like over 300 people there having a great breakfast. Look forward to the next event. DMZ Visual Photography.

Great acoustics, good seating and stage views from all points. Easy parking. Good bathrooms. First Wednesdays are a bonus. They do a variety of performances. Worth checking out the website to see who will be there. Attract big and small acts.

Beautiful theatre! Parking is ample and the entertainment choices are great. I had never been there before my sons school music concert. Now, that I now, I will keep my eye out for entertainment that is appealing to me.
