The golf course is in good shape,however the person or persons cutting in the pin position. Seems to me you put the pin location away from the damaged area on the green. I understand there are new personel, but come on guys. And it seems to be taking a long time to get the ground cover spread. Also too much water in the dirt pits,( bunker ). Still a different challenge, like the other county couses, each has their own challenges.

From the reviews and pictures we expected a great course, but we were greatly disappointed. The fairways were mostly sandy with hardly any grass on it. The greens were ok with many being attacked by alge. For the price they charge its over rated. Waste of money and time

I grew up playing this golf course and its always a lot of fun, never over crowded and its a nice 20 min drive from downtown Bakersfield. The putts break towards Shafter and there are some challenging par 4s. Par 5s are reachable in 2 by the longer players.

Love what the new owners are doing here. There are so many great changes that are happening, seems like there is something new everytime I go. Everything from the golf course, pro shop, food and staff have been a 180 in the last 6 months.

I havent had a bad day,playing here. The greens are in great shape. If we could only encourage players to fix the ball marks ,we all could have,nice green at all the public courses. Some of past reviews are grossly exaggerated.

I like their chipping area because I dont have to bring my own balls and the putting green is nice and spacious so I can work on my game. Also the hamburgers are great and I like to enjoy one when making the turn.

Good course. Some of the fairways do have patches of dead grass. This pic is from the fairways of hope 16.
