Before I get started, I believe in giving good reviews if a business deserves it, and bad one if they dont. This business clearly doesnt! While this is a beautiful location to host an event, the customer service from the catering department could use some serious improvement. We hosted our wedding at Chenal Country Club, and I have to say it was a beautiful wedding. Our contact person there was nice and polite and somewhat accomodating up to the week before the wedding. All of a sudden, all the promises we were made about the staff will do this and the staff will do that just went up in smoke. The staff "cannot" place the guests favors at each place settings, the staff cannot display my portrait, the staff cannot put the sign up in front of the entrance, the staff cannot be held responsible if any party favors are missing or damaged, blah blah blah ! We were told that we could drop off my portrait, the favors,the disposable cameras, the champagne flutes( Waterford crystal), our cake server set(Waterford crystal) the day before to facilitate things. When we got there, we were told that they cannot be held responsible if things disappear and that our stuff will basically be stored in a "closet" type room/utility room. This was a tactic to pretty much limit the amount of work they had to do. Our florist was awesome and stepped up to the plate, took charge and pretty much did what Chenal was supposed to do. We were told that we had to pay for the bartenders as well as their gratuity(we had an open bar), that was in the contract. However, they double dipped us when they added "TIP JARS" ,so they got tipped twice. That was just a rip off !!! And all the centerpieces that we were told would be included in the ballroom fee miraculously were added to the bill the day before the wedding ! And just as an observation, while we paid to have the ball room til 9pm, by 7pm it got so hot in there that guests started to complain to us about how uncomfortable it got. I beleive they turned up the heat to get folks to leave early. But again, that is just my personal observation! So will I host another event there? Probably not, just because of the last minute "nickel and dime attitude" we received. Again, the location was great, the food was good. Of course they tried to pass as many hors doeuvres as possible to rack up the bill! We were promised a seating chart way ahead of time but we had to make numerous phone calls to finally get one, the day before the wedding !! And the chart was of poor quality, my 5 year old niece could have done a better job. This thing was so small, you could not write anything on it. We ended up using something else, but this was such a waste of time from their part. Think about spending the night before the wedding (bachelorette party time) doing a seating chart !!! I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman !! We ended up getting a refund for the alcohol not consumed but we were not able to get a detail report, so who knows if that was even accurate. My advice is: dont trust them!

I recently received the fortune of playing the Founders course during a charity golf tournament. Without question, this was the best course Ive personally ever played on. The course was in immaculate condition. I thoroughly enjoyed the design of the course, as each hole was enjoyably challenging for golfers of all skill levels. I hope to play it again.

I was surprised by the lack of good service on my last visit. Seemed as though the servers had no real training for dinner functions. They made quite a bit of noise and we were never offered drink refills or wine selections. Disappointed

Simply put, the best private Club in town. Two fantastically different Robert Trent Jones courses on one site. Both courses are immaculate. What more could one ask for?
