I was visiting Mesa for a work conference. My husband and I searched the web for local things to do during some down time and we chose a visit to the center on 1/26/17. This is NOT a zoo. The center rescues and rehabilitates those animals that can safely be released and cares for the others FOR LIFE. Robin was our guide and she clearly loves her job and her enthusiasm was contagious. They are doing wonderful work and will be on my donations list annually.

A very informative place to learn about the animals that live in the southwestern desert. Lots of animals which are rescued and the tour guides are very informative. They discuss everything that is affecting these animals and how the expansion of the area is affecting them. Sad thing that they cannot give anymore tours due to a awful neighbor. I am not sure they cleared this up but I hope they do. Lots of people need to visit and learn.

Beautiful place that loves animals and animal welfare. Highly recommended. Great people and simply gorgeous animals. You will learn about native wildlife. Call ahead of time for tour times/reservations. A little hard to find but more than worth the effort.

Private wildlife conservation center. They accept donations for tour of thier operation of rehabilitating wildlife for release. They have a number of animals that can no be released due to them being imprinted by humans.

Wonderful animal sanctuary. They rescue injured or orphaned animals. Release if possible after recovery. If unable they provide the animals a home and use them as ambassadors for education.
