So very disappointed in this "event". Got there around 6:30 pm tonight. Granted its a Thursday, so I figured maybe it wouldnt be as crazy as say a Friday or Saturday night and I was hoping to avoid the crowds. I shouldnt have worried. Lucked out on parking which was the only good thing about it since I was with a disabled friend. The lights in the square were pretty, but Ive seen better and that was the highlight of the trip. Drove a half an hour to get there, and really would never go again. The website indicates there are many shops open and vendors, etc. No vendors in the park, no movie, no bounce houses, basically the only thing going on in the square were the lights. There were only two stores open in the area, although there were several restaurants open. I was expecting there to be plenty of cute shops to finish my holiday shopping, but there was nothing. Im guessing the square is really hopping on the weekend, but if you go mid-week, youre going to be REALLY disappointed. With all the hype all I can say is Glendale Glitters is "much ado about nothing".

My wife and I try to go see this every year because it makes for a very wonderful and relaxing date. Just get to walk around and see all the amazing lights in the trees as well as explore all the old antique shops for treasures. There is a very beautiful horse drawn carriage that you can rent for a ride around the glitters which is highly recommended especially if you get a nice cup of hot chocolate from a nearby food shop to bring with you. Sometimes people bring instruments and just sit down and start playing which creates just a wonderful atmosphere. I would definitely recommend anyone to use Glendale glitters for a beautiful date you both would love.

Glendale Glitters is a great event, its just getting too crowded. When we started going there, 19 years ago, it wasnt as well known so we could find parking and were able to walk around. Now theres so many people its hard to get to the venders, the bathrooms, and watch the performances. It was a family tradition I wanted to continue with my grandchildren, but we have to wait to go until week two. The crowd is always very nice and weve never had a problem with confrontation, or seen any fights. The Carmel apples are delicious and the fudge is amazing, and their almonds wow!! I cant say enough about them!!!

glendale glitters used to be a giant Park with millions of christmas light that lite the park in a fun ominous Christmas feel but now its horrible so many huge spot light and not even half of the Christmas lights I remember it was more of a carnival with a few lights complete waste of money and a drive I used to tell everyone to go here not zoo lights but glendale glitters has changed my mind dont waste your time

Great place to do a little home town shopping and have lunch with the kids. A lot of great little restaurants, bars, shops, banks, and a library. You can conviently catch the local bus in Glendale avenue and the Gus Bus on the side of in front of the Velma Teague Library. Nice shop owners and employees.

Wonderful event!! Can go for free, but there is much to buy!! Free shows go on around the area and "themed" weekends happen throughout the multi-week event. See the Glendale website for events and theme. Off-site parking and shuttle keep the traffic low. Its fun for all.

It was very nice. Of course, I went on a Saturday when events scheduled and published on the web page, unlike Valleygirl (who went on a Thursday, when nothing was scheduled). She should have probably read the schedule before going. Her review is not accurate at all.

I found this place to be pretty overrated. Its basically a decorated roundabout in an old Town setting with a large Christmas tree. If you live nearby then its worth, but definitely not worth it if youre not in Glendale.

Love this annual event. Amazing light displays, plenty of booths selling crafts, decent food variety, lots of good music. Watching the hot air balloons get inflated and then lit up with those big flames is great!

This place was neat and clean with a lot of lights and decorations, we loved it. You could get some nice pictures here if you have a decent camera. Parking was not a problem. Kids would love it.

I have visited during glitters, which is pretty amazing. It can be enjoyed from the car, or you can get out and walk around. Town Hall is nearby and has a cool architectural design.

Not all its hyped up to be. One small block of lit trees but couldnt enjoy the lights with all the vendor generator lights lighting up the sky like its daylight.

I love going to Glendale glitters and the other festivals they have in old town Glendale. Good food, great little shops, and I love the charm of the historic town.

Interesting holiday fair with lots of nicely decorated trees. Large selection of food stalls. But way too crowded & very long lines at food / drink vendors.

I went on a Thursday night so there were just lights and a carriage ride. The lights are awesome and there are plenty of them but that was it.

Good place to pokehunt or ingress. Generally creepy due to homeless people staring you down. Advice keep windows up and doors locked.
