Theyve done a very nice job with this museum. The information inside was fascinating and well displayed. The outside walk was a little more difficult though. The carvings - understandably - arent as clear as the depictions. In fact, if you didnt know what you were looking for, in most cases the shapes were mostly indistinguishable from other naturally occurring marks. As such, it wasnt a very interesting visit for our kids (ages 6-12). The walking path was scenic though and pleasant, especially on a late February morning before the temperatures got too hot. So, this seems like a good place to visit for people high-school age on up, but anything younger than that and I think the whole experience will be lost on them.

Phoenix is a huge city. Millions of people live here and museums like this open the door to the fascinating world of prehistoric Arizona. Sure, you could drive to places farther away to see more impressive glyphs, but the juxtaposition of track homes and the Adobe Mountain Dam to these millennia-old pictures really gives you something to think about. Just outside my door are these images pecked into rocks thousands of years ago. Amazing. The price is a little high for what you get, but if you are an ASU student you get in for free. The center itself has a lot of good information and programs for children.

Did not feel welcome at all...very bad service. Was waiting at the front desk for 20-25 min. until someone came. It says free admission on their website but when we get there they say its $7 per person. Will not be going here again. Not a good experience at all!

Very neat museum and outdoor trail comprised of known existing petroglyphs, nearly all of which have not been disturbed!
