Seems the name of the game here is money. People are dollar signs. If you dont give them the top dollar, they will talk down to you. Rude, disgusting behaviors by the staff. I was flat out MOLESTED by a female security guard. It is not in your right to stick your hands in my pockets, containing nothing but my house keys, and then float around the front area of my pants towards my you know what. Was screamed at by a staff member who I wasnt even talking to, when I nicely tried to ask one staff member if a food kiosk was open, or if it was planned to be opened later. Before I could get 4 words out of the question, another member started screaming that if I wanted anything, I had to go to the VIP area to get drinks. The place is like an abandoned park with more than half the stuff shut down and empty. If you want an alcoholic drink, you need to pay an extra $75 on top of what you already paid for your ticket to enter the VIP area. The beers are a whopping $14 each on top of that. Last time I went, the VIP area was nearly empty. Clearly everyone knows if youre paying these prices, you expect exceptional service and top tier beverages, not vulgar young adults (and I use the term "adult" loosely) with poor attitudes, treating you like pond scum the entire time youre there, serving you okay drinks. My last experience has caused me and the group I was with to realize we never want to step foot in this place again. This place needs new management, new staff and a new attitude towards its visitors who go out of their way to enjoy the acts they love to see that perform here. Either that, or they should have just left it as-is after the damages caused by hurricane Sandy.

Terrible venue and organization for the Rammstein concert. Paying customers being screamed at and herded in like cattle before the show. No signs showing where the actual line for admittance begins, complete mass disorganization. A disgusting female venue employee with a megaphone screaming at the crowd in a Nazi type fashion. The handicapped section was overbooked and many handicapped fans were placed to the right hand side next to the ocean, which flooded out at high tide & the people were basically left to fend for themselves. No effort was made on the part of the venue staff offering any type of assistance to relocate & assist the disabled. The concert itself was awesome and Rammstein put on a top show (5 Stars). After the concert, everyone looking for public transportation (There is None)! or a Taxi/Uber were left to fend for themselves. The area was packed with an estimated 1000 people waiting for a Taxi to the train station. Needless to say, the few taxis that were there were literally mobbed by patrons attempting to get home. Did the venue ever consider using a shuttle bus service, since they are gouging on the prices for everything associated with their part of the concert? This has to be the worst organized concert that I have ever attended, 2 days later we saw Rammstein in Chicago and the organization of the venue went off perfect. All gates were open, the venue staff polite and friendly, parking was a breeze, no lines for food or beverages and after the show, the parking lot was so well organized that it only took 30 minutes to get out. Shame on New York!

we were told that if we wanted to drink something beyond a regular beverage, we had to "upgrade our tickets" to VIP. cost: $50 (that is on top of the amount i had already paid for my ticket) so basically, we had to pay $50 for the right to drink their $13.50 can of beer and $13.50 glass of wine in an area where you cant even see the stage except in severe profile. you cant even sit down in this area. biggest rip off ever. i feel like i was exploited. i wish i could prevent any future concerts from ever happening here to teach this theater a lesson about scamming their consumers but i cant. however, i can definitely try to dissuade everyone to not patronize them. if you like to have a few drinks while listening to a concert, it could result in being the most expensive concert youve ever attended. all in all, i spent a total of almost $200 to attend this concert and sip cheap wine....and the sound quality was poor at best.

The venue is excellent to see any show. However, if you have tix for a show and want to tailgate, there is no guarantee youll get in the main lot. I saw my 1st Buffet show here in 1997, and have been back every summer since for his show. The lot has gotten progressively worse year after year. 1st, they must reserve about 250 spots for handicapped parking which have never once been utilized by even a fraction. 2nd, as word has spread about the tailgate for Buffet shows, crowds who clearly arent there for the show, come in droves at the crack of dawn to fill up the lot. If you are a ticket holder and show up after 8am, youre not likely to get into the main lot. I wish security would institute a policy that says you must have atleast 1 ticket per car to enter the main lot before 10am.

The official website states "Ample parking for handicap and special needs patrons" but when I arrived at the gate after sitting in line for 30 minutes I was told that the Handicap/VIP parking area was now only opened to the VIP patrons who had paid extra for parking. I was sent to the regular parking lot which was over half a mile away from the entrance. There was no way I could walk that distance so my wife insisted that we leave. Id like to know how I can get my money back for our two unused tickets? Apparently the people that run the place dont seem to know the definition of the word AMPLE: Meaning to have enough or more than enough... I would have never purchased these tickets had I known that neither Nikon or Jones Beach Theater had any respect for people with handicaps!

this place is a scam. they charge you $50 to get into VIP area to drink not telling you that you have to stand in there. when i realized that we had to stand 5 minuets after walking in i tried to get my money back and they wouldnt refund me my money when nobody had told me there was no refunds, not a sign. i did not sign anything saying that i knew i wouldnt be able to get a refund. i tried to do something nice for my friends and buy tickets so we could get drinks not knowing that our seats were actually better then in VIP where they made you stand. unless your bringing your children to a concert jones beach sucks major balls and i will never go there again in my life this place is a scam.

Theater is absolutely beautiful. Right on the water. The stage itself is basically in the water. Makes for a great atmosphere. Not a bad seat in the house as far as view goes. The seats themselves could use an upgrade. Old and dirty also not very comfortable. They could definitely do a better job with the flow of pedestrians. After the concert it took a while to get back to the parking lots as they have everyone funneling to a bridge where its a narrow sidewalk maybe two people can walk side by side at a time. Not great when youre trying to get rid of 15,000 people. Rammstein was the act we saw and cant say enough about them. Always an incredible show!
