This review is about Gettysvue as a wedding/reception venue coming from the Father of the Bride (FOB). The facilities are beautiful and the variety of locations for awesome pictures are beyond measure. The spaces for the bride and groom to prep, dress, and get ready are very good even though you share them with the members. On the pre-wedding front this place is almost perfect. However, it all goes downhill from there. The reception was so disappointing. The staff is inexperienced and think their only job is to put plates on a table. I could go on and on about the poor service but suffice it to say that whoever is in charge has some work to do. Now to the food. We had both beef and chicken with mashed and vegetables for a plated dinner. The beef was without taste and inconsistently cooked. Some plates were rare while others were more well done. The chicken was overcooked and the mushroom sauce was more of a glaze because it had been on the breast so long. The vegetables were undercooked and had no seasoning whatsoever. The mashed potatoes were OK. Finally, the staff continued to live up to their poor service model by serving the bread after being reminded near the end of the meal. Now to other service issues. The space is nice but you have to do all the prep for table decor. The service manager was no help. We were to have 9 tables but only 8 were set. When asked for 1 more she said thats the way the bride wanted it and only after we showed her the floor plan did she acknowledge the error. There were other issues with gift table, cake table, even the head table but you get the point. These are all things a catering manager should not miss. We did our own music from an iPad and the lyrics of the songs did not play. Rather than help, the manager just told us that she only provides a headphone jack and it must be out iPad issue. It took us 5 minutes to discover the problem at the mixer and fix it. No help from staff is a travesty. It seemed like they were annoyed that we were there. In the end, a beautiful venue with very poor food and service. Based on our experience, it felt like a bait and switch; draw you in by the beauty and ambiance and deliver less than mediocre food and service once you are committed and cant do anything about it. I hope management pays some attention and your future experience is better than ours.

Gettysvue Country Club provided a magnificent event space for our wedding ceremony and reception! Carrie, the Private Event Director, was excellent to work with on planning our event. Carrie was a great partner in the wedding planning process, and helped me reached decisions regarding the structure and flow of the wedding events. The Restaurant Staff were amazing and the wedding guests loved all the food and beverage service. Gettysvue is a great wedding venue since they do not double book events on your wedding day. There is a large ladies lounge and gentlemens locker room for day-of prepping for the wedding. We were able to have an all indoor wedding ceremony and reception, which is very difficult to accommodate at other local venue spaces. It was also very nice to be able to have a venue that provided onsite food and beverage services. Gettysvue offers a lot of wedding package options to choose from, and are very accommodating to special requests as well. I felt like any wedding planning requests that my husband and I needed were met, and I never felt that we were limit in any way on making our wedding day how we wanted. Carrie also did a wonderful job working with our other wedding vendors and making sure vendor services were delivered properly. You will be very well taken care of if you plan your wedding day with Gettysvue, and I highly recommend it for private events!

The club house is extremely nice. The range is terrible, the course is terrible. I gave it two stars for the club house alone. If you want to stand on your head while hitting a shot or you are a goat, you might like this course.

Nasty food at the clubhouse, beware!! Eveything fried is consistently bitter. Theres an odd sour/old taste to Eveything. The menu is limited and never changes. Their health and sanitary scores clearly reflect the taste,
