I have shopped here for years, starting way back when the owner Todd was selling from a shed in Germansville. The selection is good; including SPS, LPS, inverts, fish and softies. They run decent specials every week. They have slowly kept expanding in a tough market. Their prices are comparable to other places and they ALWAYS give good help and guidance. Salt prices are always very good. They dont guarantee their livestock but not too many places do as this is a tough hobby and many things can go wrong; its up to the buyer to know what to look for. Ive got over 300g of saltwater tank in my house, mostly stocked from this store and I will continue to go back there. Being a small business, they cant carry a huge supply of the million brands of hardware and supplies that are available, but what they do carry (1) generally top notch selections, (2) is priced well, (3) often on sale and (4) comes with whatever help/advice you need. Ill continue to shop here and hope they continue to grow!

BEST SALTWATER STORE AROUND FOR MILES AND MILES. No one can compare to this store. I am so thankful they are close to me (or maybe I shouldnt be!) Sometimes I wish it werent so easy to just head on over there and pick something up. They have awesome frag selections all the way up to huge corals and everything in between. They have so many different fish in all different tanks. Everything is VERY clean, VERY healthy and have never seen otherwise. The staff is so educated about the different fish and corals and if they dont know they wont make it up, they will either ask another staff member or look it up for you. If you catch Todd or Veronica there and can get a chance to talk to them about your problem or project you will be very satisfied. If you are even remotely thinking or considering going here DO NOT HESITATE, just DO IT. And YES it is worth it if you are traveling far distances.

i have no idea what the two reviewers who gave this place two starts are looking for. first, there isnt a shred of bubble algae anywhere. tanks are immaculate. they have one of the most extensive collections in the lehigh/philadelphia/montgomery/bucks region. i drive well over an hour to shop here. todd did the installation of my 46 gal bowfront setup which is beautiful, and when we had a minor leak he came out and replaced the entire bulkhead for me. they are the only local store i know carrying algegan green water, rotifers, and cocapods at half the price i can order online with no shipping charge!!!!! they have soft, lps, sps, macroalgaes, multiple kinds of live rock, all the hard goods, multiple brands and sizes of frozen mysid which i need for my horses. many of their tank raised specimens are ora, just about the best around

Well first off fish are not quarantined at all. I have a 50% success rate with there livestock and they offer no warranty what so ever. There prices are steep. They have a bubble algae problem that they cant ever seem to get under control. Ive gotten black ich from there tanks. There coral selection is lacking (mostly have softies). And they cant keep sps alive for more than a week. They also have almost no selection of hardware such as protein skimmers etc. Overall they dont seem to keep up with the hobby. But what other option do we have in the lehigh valley? On a happier note the lady who owns the store isnt bad looking.

Two stars for sympathy. I must admit, I was surprised to see so many positive comments from other reviewers. Coming from a city with an abundant reefing scene, I was thoroughly disappointed to see that Something Fishy was the go-to saltwater shop when I moved to the Lehigh Valley. The fish appear freshly stocked and unhealthy (hence the cleaner wrasses in every fish tank, hows that for a quarantine system?), the coral selection is bleak and the customer service was extremely poor. Its unfortunate that there arent any thriving reef stores in the area, I know this establishment isnt exactly keeping the hobby alive!

This store sells sick fish. Called them and they said to segregate the fish and it would get better. Did this and gave it garlic treatment and it got worse. It lived for 2 weeks. When you spend $70 on a fish and they will do nothing for you. I will never buy live stock from them again. Oh yes Im not a novice. I have had coral tanks of many sizes for 16 years or more.

These people sold me a fish claiming it was a certain kind of fish and it really wasnt. It was actually a much cheaper fish. They also dont have very healthy live stock with no health guarantee. I now buy everything from that fish place . They offer a health guarantee and are honest people. The owners of something fishy will lie to your face to sell you something.

Drove an hour to go check this store out and can honestly say was well worth it! They were very helpful without being pushy to sell things and the selections of fish and coral and tank equipment they have in stock is like nothing Ive seen before... Absolutely amazed with this place and will definitely be coming back!

Incredible staff. Motivated individuals that work their hardest to help everyone who walks in the door. The store is clean, and they donate time to the education of the people in their region. All of them deserve an A+, Five Star rating.

Do not buy anything from These people! They sold me a product that wont work. Wont take it back. This cost me hundreds of dollars. They are very rude. They are liars. Go to bulk reef supply, they are cheaper and the best customer service.

Hands down the best saltwater fish/reef store around. Worth the hour drive for me to get here. Best selection of livestock and dry goods, and the tanks are pretty clean. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
