Great area to fish, its open with slow moving deep water, and swifter water south of the boat ramp. For deer hunters, it is a vast area of wooded, elevated, and open area, with lots of cover and plenty of thickets for the mature shooters to hide in. Definitely worth the trip.

I dont hunt there, but visit during non-hunting times for the solitude. Dont miss the rock ledges along the river near the boat ramp. Only down side is all of the trash that gets dumped in the parking lot.
