I am not a connoisseur of glass or the art form, though this was an unexpected treat. We went into Tacoma specifically to checkout this museum and the history museum. Though time didnt allow for both, and unfortunately there was no carryover for the admittance price of one place to the other. I suspect they would both get more visitors if they did. I think it was $18 per person. That said they had a large collection of antique glass vases to include the Art Deco, some phenomenal sea inspired glass sculptures from multiple artists. My favorite pieces where by Raven Skyriver. And the icing on the cake is the Hot Glass Studio where you can see the live demonstration of blown glass pieces that you can actually purchase as souvenirs. They encourage questions from the audience if you want to know more about the process.

One of the most beautiful walking bridge displays I have ever experienced. If you love Las Vegas Bellagios colourful glass art ceiling display you will love Chihulys local hometown art installed on the ceiling and one wall of this bridge. You will have to park at one end, such as at the historical museum, to access this bridge. Worth stopping by!!!

Had a lot of fun here. The kids had fun as did my husband. It was a beautiful day with gorgeous glass works of art. Worth the time. Wish the fountain was working! :)
