So, I went here with some friends in November right before going to see The Twilight Saga: New Moon. It happened to be a freezing cold night and we got there just as they were opening for happy hour. We were some of the first there and were able to score a spot right by the fire place, yay! I made a dinner of a couple of their $3 items, the Kobe beef sliders and stuffed ravioli. Both were delicious! The only reason Im docking a star is because, while the sliders were still really good, there was a bit of pink in them. Which I know most people like, but Im more for thoroughly cooked all the way through without an ounce of pink in sight. And had I been asked, I wouldve requested it this way. But now I know just to ask in the future. Aside from that, I thought that Amber was an awesome place! I will definitely be going here again!

Worse place ever I paid to get in and gave the lady my hat because they say hats arent allowed so ok cool thats fine...but not even an hour later I see a flood of people come in and guess what?!! They are wearing all kinds of hats..ok Im not mad thats fine so...I simply go to the lady at the door and ask hey is there like no hats at all or just certain types of hats and she says idk so I ok I try to walk back to the bar and the bouncer blocks me and I say no I was just asking about the hat policy and then he ask the girl at the door did I pay which obviously I did and she says now and he throws me out worse place ever will not be going back no way to treat people hope it get shuts down soon

Im not one for writing reviews, but after my experience at Ambers, I felt I needed to share. We received mediocre service throughout the night and then were told we had to leave five minutes after last call and after receiving our final beers. My $6.50 beer was literally yanked from my hand after having three sips at 5 minutes before 2am, and I was told yo get out. I was totally appauled by the lack of respect for the customers and will never go there again. drinks were way overpriced (luckily I only had three) and the service was rude. Dont do it as there are way better places to hang out in Seattle.

I like to go there because its fun and I love the music ,but the drink price is vary between barthenders. I got a lemon drop on ice and got charge $16 WTF? And 2 shots of fire ball $19 . Two different transactions, beverages with Ice coast more?? Such a rip off. Didnt wanna make a fuss about it and ruin my night but it will be nice if management communicates with staff about the price. It just looks very unprofessional!!!!!!!!!!! PS. If you wanna get in a lot faster the door man will ask you $20 per person. Ck. Your establishment and fix it before its too late. ...

The 12 $ drink was undrinkable. I asked them to fix it. No such luck! It just got worse. Stick to the very basics. Gin and tonic etc. When we left we waited and waited at the coat check area. I walked up to the bartender and asked for some help, she literally snarled at me, "Hes right there." He was standing right next to me, with what appeared to be a full view of the coat check area, just chatting it up with his coworkers. Music and atmosphere are great, but there are just to many places in Seattle that are willing to great music, atmosphere and service.

Im embarrassed to give this review but they were definitely terrible. They were violent towards me and my husband for no reason. Like seriously violent. Because werent drinking the way they want! They are trash there and look to try and cause physical harm. I will never go back and you should not either. Unless you want violence and bad treatment. It really is the worst place in seattle you could go. Youve been warned dont make the same mistake. Look how many 1 star reviews its not an accident. Go somewhere else!

Horrible experience. Ive heard bad things about Amber, but I ignored and tried it out anyways. Complete waste of time. Boring and pretentious crowd (somewhat of a meat-market). Expensive drinks (especially considering the bartenders there butcher most of the drinks). The waiters and managers seemed to care more about themselves then actually running a decent establishment. Why waste your time going to a bad place like Amber when there are plenty of other great options downtown?

A very typical, overpriced, pretentious modernist bar, but rear event area is spacious and well-furnished. Too pricey and no particular reason to recommend, except that it can be a good place to hold an event. If you do, though, keep in mind that this bar is in one of the worst parts of Seattle for finding parking, ESPECIALLY on weekends and evenings, and bus access from most locations will involve a very long walk as Westlake Station is nearly a mile away.

TERRIBLE. Do not ever go. They are straight up violent. The bouncers are on a power trip, and go around looking for a reason to have a confrontation. Management is incompetent. Just a terrible atmosphere, and terrible vibe. Ive gone several times, and its one of the worst places you can go. Ive tried to give the benefit of the doubt but will NOT be going back. Dont waste your time or money on such sleezy place.

I tried to get into for having a diner and they didnt allowed me because i had an Starbucks Bag (wtf¿?), the bag had only a mug (yeah I know first and Pike right?), and my Canon SL1. The guy from the door was very rude, Im thinking, ive been all the day up, i drove more than 200 miles and I dont look like just groomed, but what the hell, i just wanted to have a normal diner... Summary: Dont go.

There are much better bars and restaurants in this stretch of 1st Ave to distract you from going to amber. Their food is certainly not very good, their drinks are nothing special, and the crowd that it attracts is not that interesting. The bar is huge though so good for large groups and it does get hopping late in the night.

Okay I like this place but its really crowded on Friday/Saturday nights with a ton of guys....you know how it is. There is one particular bartender (upstairs) that is awesome and she makes the best drinks. I really like the decor and the ambiance, but you have to be in a mood to party if you go there late at night.

Jason -Grey -VIP Manager is by far in my Top 5 in Seattle. Visiting from SF he totally went above & beyond for me & my friends. From the minute we walked in! My coat checked, Bottle service, No lines, All smiles, All night. Going to recommend to my HUGE network. Thank you Jason! Will def be back next weekend.

This place is big with multiple bars and two floors. The bartenders were all friendly. We came here to grab a drink while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. They only have a few beers on draft and a limited wine selection. They have lots of TVs throughout which would be great for watching the game.
