This park has a lot to offer! Parking is generous (including plenty of handicapped parking), but mostly unpaved and frequently uneven. Exercise caution with low sports cars! The playground is huge and includes fun structures for toddlers, elementary school kids and even a few good options for older kids. Bathrooms are available. Pets are NOT allowed. There are shady nature trails and a frisbee golf course. Picnic tables and BBQ grills are numerous. There are two options for covered picnic structure rentals. Its a great location for parties. Fishing docks are available and small boats can be launched. This is a popular location for kayaks and other small water craft. There is a sandy beach and a roped off swimming and wading area. Open air swim showers are available during the summer. Swimmers Itch warnings are constantly posted, so showering is a necessity. THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD AVAILABLE. Whats not to love? Ducks and geese. They are (unfortunately) being fed constantly, so there is always goose poop everywhere (and see Swimmers Itch, above), including on the beach and in the grass. Ew. Yes, bathrooms are available, but they get pretty over-loved and gross in the summer when the park is busy. Despite these few drawbacks, Thornton is a great neighborhood park. Check it out!

My familys new favorite beach. The park is clean, has restrooms and showers, covered picnic area, a playground and plenty of parking. The water is warm and the kids swim area is shallow for a long ways. There is a great dock for jumping into deeper water. Stand-up paddle boards are available to rent. The beach area is sandy and there is plenty of space to build sand castles. While we were there the lily pads were in full bloom, it was quite beautiful. BBQ pits are available, but sometimes there is a burn ban, but Safeway is very close in case you need to switch to lunchmeat to make sandwiches.

This park is on Silver Lake and is quit nice. There is a small beach, playground, plenty of picnic tables, some bbq pits, 9 holes of frisbee golf and a concrete ping pong table. Very fun place especially for families. Theres an area that looks like it hold a volleyball net that is a bit trashy but we used it for ultimate frisbee on a busy Sunday afternoon.

I the process of being overhauled. Needs community assistance and input. Great trail on other side of road where you can walk dogs but many encampments. Police did a great job cleaning out 17 units last month but some tents returning. More people must use it so less less people mis-use the park. Wish every person would pick up small pieces of trash!

Evergreen Granite & Cabinet Shoreline

Great place. Wish there was an outlet in picnic shelters and the docks had steps out of the water towards the end. See all the kids jumping in and for hours and struggle getting out of the water. Parking is great. TY park ranger allowing us to unloading closer to the shelter. That saved my back! We hope to come back again soon.

This lake is disgusting, I will never let my kids swim in this water again. They have had signs of fece contamination in the past and I went last night to see the shore to see about 50 piles of poop dont know if its from the ducks or what! But this is what our kids are swimming in!

Ive came here my whole life and it is a pretty good park. my kids love it! ANYONE THAT HAS LIFE JACKETS FROM THE PARKS AND RECREATION NEEDS TO RETURN THEM! KIDS DROWN ALL THE TIME AND WITHOUT LIFE GUARDS THOSE ARE A NECESSITY. THANKS!!!

Nice little 9 hole par 3 disc golf course. Start off by the lake with 2 holes on the flats by the hill you that you finish the other 7 on. Pretty easy to find your way hole to hole. Well maintained as well.

Great place. The water is a bit murky, but Im sure that Ill be heading back to the beach for another fun afternoon. The play area is also top-notch. I have a few good childhood memories from this place.

The kids love it here and always have a blast. Nice that theres toys and beach. The water is dirty and brown but we just make sure to shower right when we get home. Parking lot gets way too over crowded.

Beautiful park next to a lake, very clean, lots of friendly people, about 12 pokestops and a Pokémon gym, as well as swimming, playground, and bunches of community activities. Lovely park!!!

A great park a large playground, ultimate frisbee, a beach, facilities, grills, ping pong tables and more. It can be kind of dirty though, and the water in the lake is disgusting.

They changed the no dogs allowed signage to no pets allowed. Really? Super lame. Good basic disc golf course, but Ill go elsewhere since ANY animal is banned.
