Went here on the 4th of July on a lark. We had a picnic lunch and were looking for someplace to eat it. We drove up to the main house and were greeted warmly by the folks running the park. After a very pleasant lunch my family and I explored the battle field a bit and the museum on site a lot. I have to say the quality of the museum really surprised me! Very well laid out with lots of great local information about the Civil War in that area. They were fantastic with my 4 year old son who had a good time. The folks that run the park obviously love the history of it and take great pride in keeping it up for future generations.

I once lived in Winchester for nearly a decade, right across from the battlefield. Love it for many reasons, one being a real world reminder of history. Another is the hills make for excellent views and hard workouts. The staff is kind and willing to help in anyway they can, thank you for being so great and maintaining this beautiful historical site!

Wow! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful for all its history. The tour of Prichard House was led by a knowledgeable staff member and was entertaining as well as informative. The historical items were well kept and varied. Everyone was very friendly and helpful there. Their events are well planned, interesting and fun for all ages. Ill be back.

Staff let us come on Saturday to celebrate my dads 80th birthday! They thought of everything. Mike even let us girls take pictures in the house. Awesome

This is a nice park with historical markers and a nice gift shop. There is also a display of cannons.
