I am lucky enough to live within a few miles of the shop. I can physically go to the shop to talk to Isaac and Brian. Isaac is a "Fish Expert" . Not only are they very knowledgeable about fish they are very personable. These are always willing to share their knowledge. For me I have the good fortune to come to the shop and pick my own fish. However, I like to let Isaac choose my all stars. Most look exactly like the internet pics you are able to see. Anyone looking for a website or a fish shop to buy your fish, this is the place.

I have placed 3 orders from here and will be my last. Have had a cichlid tank for 4 years and when my local supplier dont have a certain fish i have turned to live fish direct. Shippings great, selection is great. But always get a few fish that always end up dying from here or dont color well. In 4 years from my local only ever had 1 die. Not impressed with the strain quality and have paid for males only and got females. I tank my fish serious, very disappointing.

Im a disabled veteran and I have VA appointments today and tomorrow and wanted a place with awesome fish and find out they are closed to public except saturdays. I think you would make lots more money if you aloud public to be there too :-( even during the week. Us public want awesome fish too. I live in colorado about 8 hrs from here. So I guess I wont be able to get my fish, hopefully someone else is opened that has a good selection of fresh water fish.

I Have ordered fish twice from this Company, both times the Fish Arrived healthy, One was stated to be a male and one ended up dying out of the first batch but I was refunded Credit. the Second Order Came in with Some More amazing and healthy. They have a Great Selection of Fish. As for Customer service Dont Bother trying to call but emails will get a response usually within an hour during Normal business hours. Thanks again for the great Looking Fish.

This is the go to place for ordering cichlids online! They offer the best selection and prices around and their stock never fails to deliver. They are quite patient and will work with you to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I have yet to find a business that puts as much work and care into their products and customer service as LFD. I just hope one day I can make it to Draper, UT to shake their hands and tour the place.

Aside from the fact they are only open to the public on Saturdays, this is a fantastic place to check out on the weekends. They have quite the production going on and they have made some notable improvements to their shop in the last year. If youre into aquarium fish, its a cool place to check out, but I definitely wish they had less restrictive hours for public visits. I cant say I necessarily blame them, though.

I got my first order today of nine African cichlids came right on time a.d all alive and well beautiful and happy...i was Leary about having fish delivered but they are amazing doing great in my tank and none of my local stores had the types I got yellow top mbamas yellow fin acei and red hongi very satisfied and will shop here again

I live in the SLC area and was very excited to see these folks were located here in the valley. I was impressed with all their selection and I got a variety of Mbuna for $3.49ea. to start my new tank. They were nice and helpful with the fish selection.
