As much as I would have loved to partake in counseling here, one of the office admins who was sitting in on my intake appointment found it necessary to hault my appointment halfway through because I use marijuana as a medication. Stating to simply come in while not under its influence (since it makes so much sense. being my medication and all). They also cited it as an issue of ethicality ( to which I find none, per the American Psychiatric Association Code of Ethics Section 3) The Section is as follows. Section 3 A physician shall respect the law and also recognize a responsibility to seek changes in those requirements which are contrary to the best interests of the patient. Final note, for those of you that also use cannabis for mental relief. Do not come here if you want acceptance and compassion on this issue, be gay all you want.

The building is old which means outdated and rundown facilities. Its okay. But the lady I spoke to at the behaviorial office i was redirected to go from the Legacy office (which was kind and helpful) was rude and impolite. Unhelpful and judgemental it seemed. A Wth you want kinda attitude. It was my first time here and I wasnt sure what was the process to get services here so I asked for it to be explained. Rude lady.

The MC has been around since I was in college around 20 years ago. Theyve become a dynamic force in Houston. Their leadership team is receptive of community involvement and new ideas. I appreciate that they opened their doors to help develop Houstons only FtM support group. Thanks guys!!!
