Sure the Rec Center can be a good place to work out, but playing on the teams was the worst experience of my life. Ive played on plenty of good teams with this place and have had a good time but this last coach I had shouldnt be there. He didnt speak English and always had a translator which wasnt much of a problem until he started showing favoritism towards those who only spoke Spanish as well. He started shaping the team around only them. This last game he picked all the "good" players and put them on a team together and excluded everyone else. Although EVERYONE is paying to play and be there the coach sat everyone else on the sidelines. "Everyone else is done.. Not playing." he said. That is definitely the LAST TIME I EVER play anything at the Carrollton Recreation Center.

This center has decent weight and cardio rooms, also basketball courts and dance/martial arts studio as well as foosball, table tennis and vid games. Gym is decent, and TVs are well placed by cardio machines to relieve the tedium. Locker room is just OK, not too clean but only lightly used. Advantages are the good facilities, ridiculously low cost, and proximity to my home. Disadvantages are the often sketchy maintenance and large numbers of idle teens using the place as a hangout. If all you want is a quick, basic, cheap workout this place has it all over the commercial outfits.

Came here to enjoy the new dog park thats close to my home. I am always nervous about taking my big girl (55 ibs) to the dog park because she is not too friendly with dogs bigger than her (dominance, etc) so I just avoid the large dog park altogether. I also have a small (9ib) mini dachshund and cant leave either dog unattended obviously. So I take both dogs to the small and the other visitors were so friendly about it! I was so happy to feel welcomed and valued! A great place for your pooches and a hangout area for adults or kids. Great place!

My daughter takes gymnastics at this recreation center and has for a little over 1 year. The coach is fantastic and I cant say enough good things about her coaching abilities and her relationship with the kids. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of this coach! There always seems to be confusion with payment and the staff is pretty young so they frequently are confused. As a parent that is on a time schedule, this is a bit frustrating. Overall, the gym is well kept and everyone is friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

Had a great time there with my family and my niece and nephew! They loved it and I was able to see them go down the water slide from the lazy river. They have multiple pools you can swim in and I saw people with coolers that they had brought in! Lots of places to sit and plenty of tables.

Excellent facilities for kids and adults. Plenty of sit-down space around most of the pools, though the shaded areas are occupied quickly. Some food selection, however, its ballpark fare. The lifeguards are well-managed and do a great job of staying vigilant.

The place allows people to workout in jeans, no tennis shoes,machines are always "out of order" or teens and elderly people are just sitting in the machines without using them(or texting while sitting)..the ratio people:machines is 4:1...ludicrous

This place is an incredible luxury to have in Carrollton. Excellent facilities, new machines in the cardio room, racquetball courts, large weight room, new exercise bikes, classes and 2 full size, indoor basketball courts.

The pool facilities are top notch! My wife and I love to come here to swim laps, sun bathe and ride the slides. The giant water bucket is our favorite and it dumps water every minute and a half!

Busy at night. Pay attention to the hrs of opperation. Friendly staff and very clean. It does get busy at night. Weight room gets full and you have to wait a bit.
