Terrible staff! Horrible! Appalling customer service! They have a ticket scalping problems, mismanage sales, and the staff are terrible. I have had more than one problem with tickets from them, in the past. This last visit was the worst! If you have any issues with your tickets, seats, other guests, or any other types of issues, do not waste your time talking to the lower level staff. They will give you the run around, kick you out-of they can, will humiliate you, or try to make you spend more money - if possible. They tried to make me repurchase my own seats, when they claimed not to have my tickets! I had purchased the tickets directly from them, had the email confirmation directly from their staff email address! I even showed them a bank statement of the purchase which said Bijou clear as day on it, and they still tried to deny us entry! If you have any issues ask/demand to speak to the GM, Tom Bugg, he was a little bit more helpful, claimed it was a misunderstanding, apologized. But with the constant repeat issues, I suggest you try avoiding here if possible!

The theater is fantastic, however, I was there 12/15/2012 @ 9 P.M. with two friends and I ordered two martinis. I told the bartender, that I was allergic to vermouth and she told me there was none in the drink, even though I tasted it and had an allergic reaction, she snapped. I asked to speak with the manager, and the manager told me sometimes they do not clean the shakers and was going to replace the drink. The bartender came back asked what happened to the drinks, I told her the manager took them away. The bartender came back with my checks telling me it was time to leave. What kind of professionalism is this? Will I recommend anyone having a cocktail in this establishment? Absolutely not. .

Its a little aged and a little rough around the edges, but thats what give it character. It may sound cliche, but the Bijou was a comfortable place to enjoy a Ralph Stanley concert. My wife and I attended for our anniversary this year, and we found it a welcoming, homey place. The staff was helpful but professional. The audience was mostly polite, save for some that had had a few too many. The seating was very comfortable with great views. During the intermission, we were given permission to choose an empty seat if we preferred to sit somewhere else. We ended up taking an open box seat right over the stage. What a cool view!

I have been to the Bijou many times and it never ceases to amaze me. I dont know much of its history, but the beauty of the theatre today I have witnessed. As soon as you walk in the door you get this feeling that you should be in a movie based in the 1950s. The structure and of the auditorium I feel is art in itself. There are these two poles that if you are sitting in just the right seats, there is not one part of the stage that will be visible. Other than that, the Bijou Theatre is my favorite place in Knoxville.

The Bijou is a 700-seat theater built before the advent of amplification. It is one of the best sounding houses in the country. Performers frequently comment from the stage about the great acoustics, and its not uncommon to hear someone play totally unplugged for at least a few numbers. The Bijou is a great little theater that brings out the best of those who play there.

This venue is marvelous! The building is simply stunning. Acoustically you cant find a better place in Knoxville. It is intimate without being claustrophobic, but it is expansive enough to fit many people. It falls right into the Goldilocks zone. That is to say "its just right." Plus, Bistro at the Bijou is next door for a great meal before your show.

Have seen many musicians at this restored theater and its usually a positive experience, considering the limited spaces they have to work with, both in the lobby and in the auditorium. Acoustics are not quite what we expect today, but the sound quality is much better than it once was.

The perfect date night, romantic, awesome location and really lights up at night. The cafe is amazing or for late night food dazzos across the street will be the perfect end to a concert or show at this beautiful venue.

I love this cozy little intimate venue. Ive just been to a couple of shows there, but its small enough that you really feel like youre up close with the artist even in the balcony, and the sound is awesome as well.

Great old theater with lots of character. Smaller seating capacity allow a great view of the stage from almost any seat, including the balcony.
