I went to the Flamenco Fiesta Jan. 23, 2014. There was free on-street parking . There was additional pay parking in the "fish lot" next door. The building was in an urban neighborhood so I followed the recommendation of locking my valuables in the trunk of my car. But nobody broke in. There was a security guard on duty. The exterior is Romanesque-church-like. The interior did indeed have a fatigued red brick decor. Some old windows were blocked out but not with plywood as another reviewer asserted. And there is no factual basis at all that the restroom was bad smelling. The mens room was clean and up to date. There was a bar and a pleasant bartender in the foyer. The performance space was well lit and miked. Acoustics were fine. About 250 seats were distributed around three sides of the performance space on two levels. There was a cloak room but no attendant. But nobody stole my coat. I had a great time. I recommend this place to all.

looks are deceiving. the place dont look so bad from the outside but as soon as you enter the building this terrible smell enters your nose that you cant escape. the bricks are missing in many places on the inside walls. where there once was windows it is now covered with painted plywood. the city ordinance should be contacted. the theater if that is what you want to call it is very small and there isnt even a stage. there is only enough room for about 100 people. the mens bathroom smells like a over used outhouse that hasnt been cleaned in a year. just because it has a couple of neat light fixtures dont make it a modern facility. this building isnt suitable for hog pen.

I have seen a couple shows here, and they were fantastic. The actors are professional and very good at what they do... I would even go as far to say that The Christmas Carol performance I saw at this venue was the best I have seen anywhere! I think the intimacy of the small theater is my favorite thing about this place. I love the rusticness and the creative appeal the whole building offers its patrons. Its inviting and comfortable... and I find it a very interesting and fun place to enjoy a relaxed night of theater. I wish I lived closer to take advantage of it more.

By far one of my favorite places to perform in Pittsburgh. Ive been a part of and seen such incredible shows here, probably because the space itself is so flexible. Everything from theater to ballet to live music. Its a large space but feels very intimate. The tech, staff and stage crew are some of the most professional and courteous folks in the industry. Only the highest regards for the Hazlett!

What a pleasant intimate venue to watch a play. Went to see Billy Hartung in "the big fish". Billy was excellent with a very memorable performance. The place provides beverages before and at intermission, easy access to bathroom facilities. I would have enjoyed a little more padding in the seats. My first time there but will definitely return

This is the hippest performance space in Pittsburgh. Even the lobby is a work of art. Ive performed there and the staff was fantastic.
