Course is in amazing condition. First time playing it on a golf now special and for the rate the course charges, they are cheaper than other courses in the area. This course gives you the most bang for your buck. The staff is extremely pleasant, the course is very challenging, and long depending how you attack it. Our GPS was broken in our cart, but the course has areas to aim at, that will give you a better second shot with the ball level with your stance. Many players that are power hitters want to just grip it and rip it. I dont have length with my driver but I do have excellent control with my 3 wood and hybrids / irons. I was able to land in spots that reduced having approach shots with the ball above or below my feet. It happened, but not as much as my playing partners. The greens are extremely fast in the morning and they play mind games with you as the day goes on. I ended up putting too short or through the break. But my poor putting contributes to that as well. The pin placements are great too. Some courses put them at the minimum distance from the fringe to make a course more challenging, but not here, at least during my round. They are in tough positions but still give you a chance to knock it close. Three things I would like to see improved on at the course. 1) The sand traps are barren and should be filled in. Otherwise treat your shot like a short pitch, but with rocks to ding your clubs. 2) Pace of play was agonizingly slow. A 7:30am tee time should not lead to a 1pm finish. People in front played very very slow. Sometimes just cut your losses when you lose a ball and move on. A Marshall should be out on the course keeping up the pace of play. 3) Oh make a some nice directional signs instead of spray painting hole #10 this way, etc. on the cart paths. Minor, but yet would add that final touch to this course. I cannot wait to get out on that course again. The restaurant is outstanding, but I will leave that as another review as this one was strictly limited to the golf course itself.

This golf course is fantastic! It is difficult and challenging and is not a casual walk around the park. Today Im a 15.6 handicap and if you dont know what that means, then do yourself a favor and play the forward tees. The layout, with elevation change, guarded greens, fairway bunkers and tree line fairways, requires the ability to shot shape and be accurate. If those arent your things, just play it forward or bring some extra balls. I only managed a 17.3 index on the round and thats because I putted beautifully. The greens are probably the best I have played in PA. Soft, receptive, amazingly accurate to roll the ball on and most important, consistent from hole to hole. The greens alone would make this a 5 star golf course. I love that there is a paved cart path on every hole. The navigation of the course can be tricky with a lot of road crossing and U-turns but the cart paths are painted and the scorecard has a map. Overall there were no drawbacks what so ever. The scenery is amazing with deer crossing my path at holes 2, 3 and 4 just after sunrise so even if you arent the avid golfer and are just picking up your ball sometimes, its a gorgeous course to spend the day at. Just be ready to not post your best round ever and to be challenged by the design and awed by its implementation.

The course was technical and unless you have played here before and know the layout you will be making a lot of blind shots. The staff was ok, not overly friendly. As you play the course there are multiple warnings that you will be prosecuted for trying to get a ball which is on someones property. Almost to the point that you feel threatened. Also warnings that the carts have GPS and if you hit any property they will know and you are responsible for damages. Nothing like a round of golf where you are being berated by warnings the whole time. Maybe they shouldnt have built houses and property so close to the greens and fairways.

I recently went to The View and ate outside on the deck. The server and host were very friendly, and both knowledgeable on the menu. I had a cocktail, delicious, and the Stuffed Salmon which was amazing! My son had the wings and a burger. He loved it. I took a tour of their new addition downstairs, and its absolutely gorgeous. I love the glass doors all around the room so you can see the view at all times. Id highly recommend The View for any upcoming events!

Beautiful views. Was there for Sunday brunch and the selection was average. Mostly lunch type offerings, there was bacon, sausage, hash browns, then the ribs, chicken, prime rib. I asked about egg options and she told me I could have any type of omelette or scrambled eggs. So I ordered a mushroom and cheddar omlett. It was oaky. Average food, great views.

The view really is an appropriate monicre for this place. Eating outside provides an absolutely sublime view of the surrounding area, and really sets up a great ambiance for diner. The food was very good, and the service was also exceptional. All in all, I would give 6 stars if I could, definitely highly recommended!!

The golfing was awesome. Some of the neatest views and a bit of pretty challenging tee shots. Very entertaining course. 4 stars because the greens and Fairways arent nearly as well maintained as Mainland golf course. Some pretty junky greens and Fairways here and there. Hopefully that part is better next time.

Fantastic shape. Be prepared to ride a rollercoaster on some of these greens but the well-placed shot is very much rewarded. Gold tees for seniors are very fair in length. Restaurant food very good but disappointed that they stopped serving beer in pitchers.

Ok scenery, great design. Large greens with lots of slope. Huge elevation changes requires accurate tee shots. I would not recommend this course if never played before or on a vacation. Not for the average golfer, the elevation changes are crazy.

Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Course leaves alot to be desired. Temporary tees and poorly manicured bunkers, very disappointing for a course of this caliber. However, great views and nice hole layouts, challenging for sure.

Beautiful course that is not too bad on the wallet. Very difficult so make sure you play the right tees. Really challenging, but fun layout and the course offers some spectacular views. Really fun to play!!
