Let me start out with saying that the club looks wonderful with the renovations that were done. This was my first time visiting since the fire so I was pretty excited to see all the renovations in person. I knew the menu had changed so i was also pretty excited to try some of the new food items. For an appetizer I shared the spinach and artichoke dip with another person. It was absolutely delicious but was a little small as a dish that was being shared. I will say it dos keep me from being overstuffed at the end of the nigjt but since we were sharing it would have been nice to have at least about 10 small slices pf bread instead of maybe 5-7. For dinner i got one pizza while another guest got another sp that we could share. I got the margherita pizza. It was not a bad pizza at all. I just think as far as flavor goes, it could have used a drizzle of a balsamic reduction. The other guest got the vaked potato pizza which was absolutely delicious. That one i would not change a thing about. Overall the experience was nice. Service was a little chaotic, but there was also a wedding reception taking place on the patio. I dont know if our waitress had extra tables due to that or not but she did seema bit frazzled. Im sure it did not help that our party was a bit large as well.

To be honest I have never been to a golf course before, I decided to drive down and visit the trout club and found to my surprise I was welcomed with open arms, golf cart rental was very fair and they even rent clubs and offer tips to help you Lonnie at the rental desk was fantastic at pointing me the right direction and to my surprise they sell fine cigars also. the place was beautiful and the grounds very well kept, there is a beautiful pond full of all things trout ! even a few albino trout it was pretty cool. apparently they also offer footgolf which is a game where you can tour the course and kick a soccer ball towards large cups and take score, I highly recommend this sport for kids and on this course it has a lot of shade so you wont become fatigued by heat or constant sunshine. so if you are looking for something to do in licking county I would highly recommend this place as the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there is a lot more to take in than just golf. there is a beautiful in ground pool, you could plan a full day here easily with your kids

We had to wait at the hostess area for 10 minutes prior to getting a table and they werent even busy. The drinks were alright, service was great, The Steak Quesadilla was amazing and the salads were good but the Filet Mignon and Whatever steak my husband ordered were absolutely gross. They were sour and awful.Plus the rolls were like day old rolls that get over-microwaved and turn hard. The salmon that I had with the surf and turf was good but with a $90 bill I expected to have a much better experience than we did. I am highly disappointed and will not be back.

Went for FOOTgolf. Played all 18 holes. Grounds were nice, clean. Hole 3 and 4 were a little confusing, could improve their guide system. Couple of late holes were difficult, on hills but thats part of the fun. The bar service was really bad though. Went in for a beer and food afterwards and the girl behind the bar was more interested in chatting with a friend than servicing people. Another couple that was staying on site has a few questions and the girl was wholly unhelpful. After hearing their frustration we just decided to leave and go somewhere else.

Everything about this place is terrific! We spent 5 nights in one of the rooms. It was great. The rooms are very spacious and have a balcony that overlooks the fountain and part of the golf course. The rates are very reasonable and wifi is free. The food was terrific too. We had lunch and dinner here. The prices were reasonable. I had one of the best dinners Ive had out in a long time. I would stay here again on our next trip.

We went there to watch Sticks and Stones and see fireworks. It was advertised that we would be able to order from the restaurant. However, we arrived a little later than planned and were told no more orders were allowed to be taken. And yet, after this, we saw other people who sat down after us receive food. We ended up leaving before the fireworks to find food elsewhere.

Been there twice now. The first time was ok, the last time was probably just that ... our last time. Was not pleased with the service, and the manager explained that they were busy. I figured being busy would be a goal for them but I do not think they are up to speed yet. Our party of four left and went elsewhere. They were slightly less busy then.

The front 9 is a pleasant rolling course that is challenging but not too tough. The back 9, well, dont try to walk it if you are the least bit out of shape. There are places on the back you must hit the ball and if you dont, youre screwed. The clubhouse bar and dining area are the nicest places to eat and drink in the area. They make up for the back 9.

I went to an event for the Licking County Chamber of Commerce here, and the space was beautiful. A gem amongst the hills of the countryside, the fireplaces, stone accents, leather furniture, and wood beams lend a cozy and relaxing ambiance. I look forward to returning to play the golf course with my father.

Visited Trout Club for some awesome Footgolf. First time playing. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful guiding us to the first hole and assisting with the soccer ball. The course was beautiful and we had an incredible amount of fun. Definitely a workout and well worth the effort.

Very friendly staff nachos and artichoke dip was great. We sat right in front of a huge fish tank stocked with trout the kids loved it. Dinner was good we had pizza and salads. We got a tour of the facility because my family is considering it for a wedding. Beautiful inside and out.

This place after 2 rebuilds keeps getting better and better. The Trout Club has a lot to offer, a well maintained golf course, clubhouse with pool and pavilion, and they offer suites for overnight accommodations.

Match 25, 2016: beautiful facility but dont go there to eat without checking first; clearly closed for renovation although the website shows it is open! Anxious to try it when the renovations are done!

Very nice place and the service was friendly. However the food was okay and it took very long to get to us. For what its worth it was during a busy Sunday with a lot of groups there.

Pool & atmosphere one of the best. Even young kids around, not a problem. Drink & food prices very reasonable. A hidden gem in Newark. Great for relaxing & stress free afternoon.
