Disclaimer: this is a review of the Touch food truck. Touch looks like the type of place that should have everything going for it: a hip, trendy vibe mixed with a creative menu featuring eclectic East-meets-West mashups. Alas the reality, Ive found after multiple visits, is nothing less than a colossal let-down. Part of the issue here is the balance, or lack thereof, of flavors in the food. At Touch, not only is mayonnaise its own food group, it forms the base of the food pyramid; this is most clearly exemplified in the kimchi fries. Dont get me wrong: Im a firm believer in the power a schmear of mayo has in elevating a humdrum sandwich into the realm of legendary lunchfare. You can even sell me on the Belgian practice of dipping pommes frites in mayo. However, no amount of kimchi, regardless of how old or pungent it is, can balance out the greasy, starchy, fatburg that is the congealed union of french fries and Touch sauce. Furthermore, the portions at Touch are found wanting (for items that arent french fries - alas those are supplied in overabundance): a 2 oz slice of tofu and three wilted spinach leaves on a tortilla does not a taco make. The pork belly taco likewise featured barely a handful of greens that, try as hard as they might, could save that ounce of burnt, desiccated pork from being consigned to the trash can. Simply put, Touchs tacos are an affront to hipsters everywhere. Im surprised a herd of bearded, pipe-smoking, bowtie-toting dudes havent descended on the truck to exact some sort of twisted revenge. I tried to like Touch. I really did. However, the food was simply subpar, even by the rather middling standards of the Cleveland food truck scene. This is especially a shame given many items on their restaurant menu look tasty. After the food truck experience though, I dont see a reason to set foot in their restaurant proper.

We used to be regulars here (at least twice a week) but weve cut back because our favorite servers left about a year and a half ago. That being said, the dining service is only so-so (bar is good), and they really, really, really need to do away with the cover charge to get in on Saturday nights. BUT. The food. The food here is the best-kept secret in Cleveland (although it does get crowded on weekends), knocking the pants off of its neighbors in the area (yes, YOU, Crop). If you are worried more about the taste of the food and less about running into every local TV personality in Cleveland, eat at Touch. Best in show are the 2/$5 gourmet tacos on Thursdays (get frites and the Touch Sauce to go with them) and Sunday Brunch (Fruity Pebble pancakes!). If loud music and crowds arent your thing, dine early on weekends or go during the week.

We met several friends there for brunch on Sunday and had 1230 reservations. We were seated promptly, which was the best part of the whole experience. We were seated in the very back and it was much too dark for Sunday brunch. Our waiter was slow and unattentive and seemed annoyed when we asked for anything. Finally after he walked past us a half dozen times I asked him if we could order. It took well over an hour and a half for our food to come and when it finally made it to the table it was cold (I had lox and bagels and the lox were warm). It was 3 oclock before we left. It is incomprehensible that it would take 2 and a half hours to eat brunch. Poor service. Bad food. Crummy atmosphere. I gave them two stars because the coffee and mimosas were good.

The server I had with the other 29 guests I had was horrible. My server had an attitude and was very short with us when we had a question. That was the beginning to the horrible service I had. The appetizers we had were great but when it came to the meal it sucked. The steak was way too tough. When I asked our server for the desert at the end she cut me off before I could even tell her what I wanted and told me no it could not be made. When I asked her to ask her manager if it could be made she told me no so I went to the manager and he told me yes. You would figure a girl that gets paid from the service she provides would be nicer but no. She should be hidden in the back office away from clients.

Saturday night at midnight the place was dead. I liked the look of the place and we didnt go for food or drink we went to dance but nobody there. So we arrive "early" 10:30p and its a ghost town. The basement dance area wasnt even open yet. They said "itll open in about half an hour. Thats when everything gets going." Staff was friendly enough, although basement didnt open til 11:30p. (1 hour later) And by midnight there was maybe 7 people in the basement dance area including the bartenders. The music wasnt even good enough to get us to "hang in for the crowd to be". We split. Very disappointing.

Red by the glass listed as Pinot Noir is really the worst kind of acidic cheap table house red wine. I paid for the wine and left 25% tip. Server was nice about it. I did not call the manager, but server decided to call him when I complained about the quality. Friday night manager was very unprofessional. He came up with the bottle, pointed to the label and said "I just poured out a bottle of wine because of you". Never left a glass of wine todate. Not coming back and will let everyone know about this experience.

Weve been here for brunch and supper. Food is great for both meals; however, its a great value for brunch, yet not so much for dinner. $20 for 4 ravioli? Delicious, dont get me wrong, but a bit pricey. Lastly, the wait staff is nice and helpful, but the manager is just plain rude and impolite. Frankly, Im surprised anyone trusts him at all with their customer base. Makes it an unfriendly, unwelcoming atmosphere.

I love the food here. The grilled cheese, the Christmas ale ribs, the tacos and the breakfast burrito are some of my favs. Yes, its dark inside, thats just how it is, it looks cool like that. They have local art on the walls and a very cool looking bar. The service is the only thing that really is hit or miss but most of the time, the people have been pretty good.

I found out about this place last weekend and decided to check it out and I have to say Im pretty impressed. The food is great (went there for dinner) and the drinks are poured heavy but are also a bit on the expensive side. The service was great and I will definitely have to come check this place out again.

Tried to go on a Saturday night hoping to dance.... got there and was told "oh were not opening that part tonight ". I feel like this should have been posted somewhere (ie, fb, ig , etc). We drove over an hour away only to be disappointed
