The course is tucked inside a newer residential area of West Fargo. Well-manicured and aesthetically satisfying (lots of mounding, native grasses, water features, and wildlife), the course, 9 holes though it may be, could easily be the F/M areas best public option if it werent for a few things. The green complexes are the most undulated of any course in the metro (really nice) and the course itself is pretty well maintained compared to its counterparts in the area. Clubhouse staff have always been friendly and attentive, and the club pro seemed super chill and nice. The par 33 layout (4 of the 9 holes are par 3s, 1 par 5) is not something Im necessarily a fan of though, and with so much open land to the south Im not sure why they didnt build a traditional par 35 or 36 by adding just a little length to some holes or tweaking the design a little. Also, the one par 5 on the course (hole 2) has a really funky design where the fairway ends around 250 yards off the tee to about 300 or so. This area is all rough, so unless youre bombing drives 300+ youre either driving your ball right down the middle into deep rough, going left into a pond that runs to the green, or heading right into large mounds of fescue and a bunker. It basically forces you to layup and play the hole as a 3-shoter. I dont have any problem with the water down the left and mounding, a bunker, and fescue down the right, but this fairway thing just seems like design overkill. Really wish theyd just mow a continuous fairway to the hole and get rid of this massive fairway rough hazard, given this is the only par 5 on the course. On the flip side, a few holes later a very drive-able par 4 gives you the eagle opportunity youre basically denied on 2. Some scenic par 3s (5 and 8), all though tee box setup on either hole 3 or 8 could be changed a bit since both holes play at identical yardages now. The par 3s currently play (from blue tees) 135, 165, 165, and 195 yards, so changing one of these holes to something around 150 or 180 would give the player 4 different club choices on each of the par 3s. Id give this course 4 or 4.5 stars since it is in really nice shape and well-maintained even if the layout is half par 3 course compared to a standard one. Mow that stupid area on 2 and Id give 5 stars because the conditioning and green complexes are 10 steps above anything else the Fargo Park district puts out at any of its other tracks.

Really long course. Rude staff. Poor spacing of golfers. We were a 4 some with two new golfers. They claim to be a family friendly course. We came after 6:30 on a Saturday night so we wouldnt be rushed. They scheduled one golfer, two twosomes and one golfer following us and then complained that they were behind a walking 4some. Hole 7 had over 49 geese and poop all over the fairway and the green. Never met such rude golfers or course staff. It really is not much to write home about. Plenty of other courses to choose from. Dont come here.

Wheres the customer service? I cant even get a hold of anyone to ask questions! Just an automated service that says our information is online. Guess what....not all of it is!
