Its a wonderful local park split in half along Martling Avenue. The section between Martling and Forest has some small bodies of water, a small waterfall feature, and a handful of footpaths to follow through the park, as well as a childs playground on the Clove Road and Forest Avenue corner of the park. Crossing Martling Avenue puts you in the larger section of the park which goes all the way up to Victory Boulevard. This part of the park has a larger playground with swingsets for babies as well as children and adults, a park with a sprinkler, an ice skating rink, and a picnic area, as well as a restaurant that gets quite popular in the warmer months. The park is generally very well kept, and has some wonderful views on offer for being in between several main roads on Staten Island. Parking can be found around the perimeter of the park, and is not metered (as far as I know) anywhere. No public parking lots, either. The Victory Boulevard side of the park is the more popular side of the park due in no small part to the restaurant and skating rink, but the entire park is worth visiting.

Great park. Kids love it here. Bring family. Bathrooms are not the cleanest. Park empleeiess setup activities on weekends for kids and teens. The playground is the only thing which brings my rating to 4 Stars. They still have one of the old steel slides from your grandparents age. Not safe and should be removed. The lake is nice. And if you are looking to take your girl or wife for a quaint restaurant experience, than their is a quaint one hidden in the park. And they have a valley parking. For everything else good luck finding a spot. Park on the street on on the Victory Blvd side of the park.

I first began coming to this park for my Cross Country practice but I really began to love it The nature and trails in the park are great for walks, running, bicycle, etc. its usually not too busy until 6 pm and later, from my experience, and even when there are lots of people, the park is so big that you wont be bothered. The only thing is because the cross country teams from many schools come to this park to practice, sometimes its hard to run with so many people around the park

Beautiful park with quite a bit of variety. Victory Blvd side has playground, ballfields, trails thru the woods and nice inclines if you want to really challenge yourself walking or running. And there are picnic areas with bbq grills available on the hill. Pond where you can rent pedal boats also is very nice. On Forest Ave side is more woodsy with some beautiful walkover bridges. All in all a really nice park on Staten Island.

Beautiful park! Great for walking or running. A lot of people here will be walking their dog, playing sports in the open area (surrounded with geese), or just walking up the numerous pathways. This park covers a wide area with 2 intersecting pathways going all around its lake. Great place for a picnic, a quick stroll, and/or a BBQ (a lot of tables available).

Beautiful park with alot to do but parking is extremely limited especially due to the valet parking for the restaurant that is inside the park and you cannot ride a bike throughout the park.i will never understand parks that do not allow bikes, that is what most parks should have and we all picture in our mind when we think about them.

This park has so much potential to be very nice. Unfortunately, it is fairly dirty and lackluster. Im disappointed in the playground, I wouldnt let my child play freely here without inspection as trash is everywhere inside of the gated play area. The trails are nice but litter is still throughout.

Great place to let your kids (and pets) run loose. Has great playground, hiking trails, place for bbq and , of course, lake with boats. Lake has fish, turtles and tadpoles. Sadly lake is a bit overgrown and dirty, I hope they will clean it soon

One of the better parks in New York City. It has a baseball field and about two and a half miles of trails. Theres also an ice skating rink and basketball courts. There is a childrens playground. Not far is also the Staten Island Zoo.

Great park complete with dog run, basket ball courts, ice skating, fishing, hiking/walking trails and spots for grilling. One of the few parks in the area with grills provided for those of us who dont have our own portable units.

Very woody on the Forest ave side. The combination of too much shade and the lakes bring you a lot of mosquitoes. Some wet ground even on a sunny day. It maybe nice to go in the very hot and dry day of summer to cool out.

Beautiful park! Very scenic. Waterfalls contribute to the soothing nature sounds. Paved paths vs. Unbeaten paths ;-] Great place for a walk, jog, run, bike ride or just to clear your head! Definitely recommend!
