A cemetery’s ability to accommodate a burial party during bad weather is something my family didn’t think of when we purchased our plot. This past March my family had to bury my father. Due to the lack of effort and planning on the part of Pinelawn cemetery, our burial party had to trudge through mud to get to the grave site and then stand in the rain for the service. Several weeks afterwards, my mother and I eventually sat down with management to question why a roadside canopy was not provided. We received nothing but a cold and hollow apology, blaming it on the prior severe winter. I find it inconceivable that in all the time this cemetery has been in operation they have not established a plan to suitably accommodate a burial party during bad weather and/or ground situations. The only bright spot that day was the military send-off my father received; the honor guard conducted their ceremony flawlessly, the whole time in the rain, "God bless our military".

I give this place 2 stars solely because it is well maintained and always looks beautiful. Someone is doing their job right there. But I went to visit my grandfathers grave, where I had not been since I was a child. I did not know where it was since it had been years. The people there were no help. He has a very common name and they were just not willing to go through the trouble of finding him in the system. I gave them his full name and year of death and nothing. So I asked for a map of the grounds and tried my luck, with a vague memory of location and appearance. It didnt go well, and instead of leaving content, having spent time at my loved ones grave I instead left angry, and that in and of itself tells you where this place puts its priorities. But at least its pretty...

How they view and handle people there is a disgrace. The owner treats his workers like dogs without any care for there well being, or safety. He views families with love ones lost as money grabs. Avoid this place for your love ones. They are extremely rude, shallow, and show NO compassion. If families where to come to the workers for help, or to talk about a love one lost. You could get suspended for taking a couple minutes to show compassion. This place truly only cares for money. Pinelawn used to be a very nice place that cared for families and workers alike. Those days are long gone. Thanks to its owner who goes out of his way to put all the money he can into his pocket.

I cant believe Im reviewing a cemetery, but Pinelawn is a gorgeous cemetery that I UNfortunately visit several times a year. If you have a car, youre in luck, because its super car-friendly, but if you are taking the train, leave time to walk to your loved ones final resting spot because its quite a hike from the Huntington Station unless they are buried up front. One thing I dont like is that you arent supposed to put anything on the graves if they arent flowers and they must be put in the bronze flower holders. But, that doesnt stop me. :) Perfectly maintained grounds and friendly staff at the main building.

Due to my health all I can do is look at your web-site and it is easy to see that Pinelawn Memorial Park and Garden where my Father was layed to rest 44 years ago has not changed one bit. As a Teenage girl i remembered how Beauiful Pinelawn was then. My Mother was also buried there as well. I was just seven years old when my Mother died. I was too Young to go to a funeral, She died Six years earlier then my Father. I remember how the people were to me then. I look at the photographs of Pine lawn memorial Park and it has not changed.

On 12/22/16, My Sister & I went to pay respect to my parents, located in Pinelawn Garden Mausoleum, we purchased a snowman decoration from Doreens Flower Shop. we placed the piece at that grave site. The next day My Brother in Law, went back & a caretaker, was taking all the decoration people had placed, he said per Pinelawn owners request. He had some nerve taking gifts given to the deceased. He claims new rules, but nothing had been posted when we were there.

I unfortunately have the pleasure of visiting this beautiful cemetery more often than Id like. But I do have to say the grounds are very well kept. I have buried my baby girl and my lovely mother here as well, nearly 9 years ago. I have notjing negative to say about pinelawn, any issues that have arose have been taken care of in a great manner. Thank You Pinelawn for keeping my heart at piece, while assuring me that my loved ones are safe.

This cemetery sends out advertisements disguised to look like theyre coming from the government. Its an envelope where you open it by tearing off the sides noting "Important Information About Your Social Security Benefits" with an anonymous PO box as the return address. If this is their marketing, I can only imagine what their contracts are like.
