Hereby I would like to take the time to recommend Luz Pena, as a responsable, hard-working person but above all a humanitarian person, who has always shown her complete disposal for any problems or help that someone needs. Over the years that I have met Ms. Peña, she has shown respect not only with parents that worked if not with their children as well. Her interaction with children that I have personally observed have been extremely loving, friendly, but above all respectful, no matter what is their sex, nationally or disability of the child. I am very happy with the treatment and respect that she have given to my daughter and I. Therefore, I have no problem in recommending Luz Peña to anyone , she is a suitable person to carry out their work Por este medio quiero tomar el momento para recomendar ampliamente a la señora Luz Pena, como una persona responsable, trabajadora pero sobretodo una persona humanitaria, la cual siempre a mostrado su total disposición para cualquier problema o ayuda que alguien necesite. Durante los años que tengo de conocer a la senora Pena a demostrado un respeto no solamente con los padres que a trabajado si no con sus hijos. Su interacción con los ninos que yo personalmente he observado han sido sumamente amorosa, amable, pero sobretodo respetuosa, no importando su sexo, nacionalidad, o deseabilidad del niño. Como madre me siento muy contenta con el trato y respeto que ella no a brindado a mi y a mi hija. Por lo anterior no tengo inconveniente alguno en recomendar ampliamente a la señora Luz Pena y se que es una persona apta para ejercer su trabajo.

I have four (4) children, ages 17-24 and for several years our family benefited from Kingsbridge Heights Community Center. I am very grateful that I discovered this Center and appreciate the support and encouragement I have received for 13 years. It is critical that children and Teens receive the kind of support and programs that they offer.Through the assistance of KHCC we were able to meet the unique needs of our children, taking advantage of a combination of programs, workshop, and the incredible support of Sadie Mahoney. Words can not describe the appreciation I have for Sadie and the Youth Dept. KHCC is a big part of my family!!

This place is an amazing, nurturing and supportive environment for tweens and teens. The staff are great and have changed the lives of so many kids. They offer supportive counseling, internship programs, leadership opportunities, sports, dinner, field trips, homework help, college assistance- you name it. KHCC is a second home and family to its participants. You can feel the love that exists at KHCC!

Kingsbridge Heights Community Center provides high quality programming in a wide variety of areas: early childhood, after school, teen center, respite for kids with special needs, ESOL for adults, free services for survivors of sexual abuse and much more! I work closely with the staff who provided these services, they are dedicated, caring, professional and passionate about the work they do!
