Bane Haunted House is not a haunted house. Its a fun house on crack pretty much. And one who likes to take your money, abuse, you, and make you feel like crap. I had hunted high and low for a new experience and that was what I got coming here, and it was very poor. First off, I purchased VIP tickets. I skipped the line outside which was great and then there was a smaller line inside which I skipped as well, which was great. Then I got put on what was at least an hour line to get into the house. I asked 3 times, if this was the VIP line, and the gentleman and woman at the window all confirmed I was on the correct line and that everyone in the line was VIP. I had my doubts since I really couldnt imagine the family with 5 kids in front of us all purchasing VIP tickets, but I let it go. About 15 minutes in line, I saw a group of people walk off the side and up to the front. I asked them if they were with a group and they told me they were just in the VIP line. So of course I got off the general admission line and into the real VIP line. I read the rules of the house which clearly sated if you are not comfortable, you stop and yell mercy and they will escort you out. I agreed and understood their rules, however, be advised they do not play by their own rules and expect you to obey theirs. I will get into detail about this further on in the review. Upon entering the house it is pretty much tunnels, mazes, slides, spinning feature, and crawling around. Like I said, very fun house like. There is nothing scary about this place, very little horror or gore feature. The scariest part is when the fat guys that work there put you in a head lock under their stinky armpits or the constant coffee breath of people in your face. Sadly, some of the "actors" didnt even have makeup on. One guy was wearing a Bane t-shirt and jumped out at me trying to scare me, and I was like, "um next time at least try a little makeup". What angered me the most was when we got to the roach room. We were told we were about to enter a room where they would drop Madagascar roaches on you. If you were in say yes, if not say no. Well since I have been in the fun house the whole time and separated and thrown around and such, I figured if I said no, I would be brought somewhere else in the house and pop out and scare my friends or something. I dont really like bugs, and even though I knew it was fake, I thought if I said no I would get to do something different. Well, myself and another girl who said no were escorted through the back of the house only to be brought out a door and called a quitter in front of everyone waiting on line. This was not cool. I played by your rules Bane, and you didnt play by yours. Never once did I say mercy or ask to quit. You tricked me in quitting and I am very annoyed about that. Never once have I quit any sort of horror house and as a matter of fact I only have one Adrenal gland so my ability to become scared is a lot more difficult than your average person. I wasnt scared. Your poor excuse for a haunted house is an over priced fun house and you use your manipulation in order to try to freak people out and up your scare numbers on that bored. Lame. We wont be returning or recommending this to anyone.

This place is a joke! We ordered our VIP tickets online. We had two 9 year olds coming with us and on the main page of the site it said that it is recommended for 12 years and older. When we arrived we were rudely greeted by a gentlemen who made us line up against a fence where he pointed his fingers in the two 9 year olds face questioning their age. He then said they absolutely cannot enter because it is for 10 and over. I said it didnt say that when I purchased the tickets. He said it states it online so, I whipped out my phone to check all the options and I finally found it under FAQ. Like who really reads that unless you have a question. I asked the guy if we can have a refund and he did a bunch of talking and said absolutely not you can redeem your ticket and sell it to someone on the line outside. He said that we could still go through but the boys could not. We asked him where are we supposed to leave them he stated they xan sit at the concession stand alone, because there is a guy there working. So, we can leave two 9 year old boys (who can wonder off or be lured off) alone, but they cannot go into this attraction. I think at 9 i would be more terrified being left alone with a crowd of people i dont know around me. If something happened to the boys who is held responsible? He convinced us that this place was the most scary place in the entire world that they had 80+ actors and animitronics and that you end up alone in many areas. So, we decided to go in two groups. My parents and 2 older boys went 1st and this jerk guy led they them into general admission. The whole VIP line set up was confusing. So she spent 10 extra dollars to wait on the line anyway. When i finally went in it was not scary at all. 95% of the actors were pourly dressed zombies. One smelled like body odor another blew his strong coffee breathe in my face and the clothes they have hanging smell horrible. The only time you end up alone is to go into a slide, crawl space or something real quick. They inforce their rules which is understandable but when you witness a woman that pulled out her cell phone get gripped up by her collar by a large man that works there it is not cool and is very unprofessional. My 9 year old boys definitely could have handled this. The walking dead is scarier. The people there are not friendly (except the concession stand guy) the rude guy was power tripping the entire time we were there and i would never recommend this place to anyone EVER! Take your money elsewhere these people do not deserve a penny. They also need to learn gow to do makeup and what scary is.

I have been an actor and performer all of my life. I have also always been obsessed with Halloween, horror, and the macabre. I decided to combine my interests and work in haunted houses. At the same time I went to many haunted houses, hayrides etc. I rarely found one that could give me more than one good scare (if that). Unfortunately, after working in haunts for over 10 years its extremely hard to scare me. I went to all the haunts in the area and everywhere I traveled to....then I went to Bane. The moment you arrive the experience begins. Its obvious that the owners are in it because they love what they do....and spend a lot of time thinking about it. I wont talk about the experience because that would take away from the total package. Just know that this is no cheesy temporary haunt. It is hard core. The experience is visceral. They make you confront some of your deepest fears in ways that I had never imagined. To some this may be torture (as indicated by their quit count which is over 1000 for the season so far). Anyone who claims this place is anything less than a walking nightmare either couldnt get through, or cheated the experience. The person who complained they cracked their phone didnt mention that they were not supposed to have it....probably using it for light because they were too scared. Anyway, the point here is go to Bane....but only if you really think you can handle it. Then when you leave....check your backseat. It never hurts to be safe! Oh one more thing....wear sneakers and think about bringing a change of clothes. Youll thank me.
