This is the second year I went out on the Skimmer with my Adults with Aspergers group. My group had a great time last year and felt welcomed and comfortable with the staff so they wanted to do the ride again. Captain Travis worked up a different trip than we had last year. His naturalist, Kim, was great with my group also. The lame jokes were flying and their was lots of laughter. They did a crab catching trip. We learned about the marsh and the osprey and lots about catching crabs. It was an absolute delight. Travis is already discussing what he wants to do for us next year. Were excited and cant wait! This personalization of trips is just an indication of what wonderful people work on the Skimmer. These trips were run out of the Cape May marina. I have ridden on the Skimmer out of the Wetlands twice also. I went with my cousins on the evening "booze" cruise. Its BYO and cheese and crackers ar provided. Also very fascinating.

Six of us had a wonderful experience during our sunset tour around the salt marshes. Allison and Travis both know their stuff, and they were happy to share. Their passion for the various birds and wildlife of Cape May was obvious and appreciated. The kids as well as the adults on board couldnt help but share in their enthusiasm. This is a must do! From the second I booked our crabbing trip from Katie who I spoke to on the phone who was so nice from the captain Travis and Chris who were just awesome! They really gave step by step instructions which was great for my 6 year old who has never been crabbing before!

We had fun on this reasonably priced, informative folksy, interactive, BYO, humorous, husband and wife back bay tour on their small, twelve passenger or so boat. You see a lot of wildlife in a relatively small area of the back bay near Cape May.

Absolutely loved this excursion. Went with my three teens and husband. Everyone loved it. Travis and Hannah were so knowledgeable. We learned so much!
