My wife and I have visited over 150 wineries in MD, VA, NJ, WA, OR, and CA. Amalthea Cellars is a red wine drinkers paradise and a steal. Most wineries we are lucky to find one decent wine and it is often $40-$50. Amalthea has a over a dozen wines up for tasting at a time and at least 5 of them are worth twice what they sell them for ($17-32). If you are a lover of wonderful red wines then you must give this place a visit.

Hands down my favorite winery. Wines are great. Staff is great. Beautiful small place. A must go to winery. Not your typical NJ wines! Some of the best reds you can buy and not go broke. They usually always have something going on. Even if you just want to kick back and enjoy a glass inside or out, worth the stop. The Cantina mas is a great deal and changes about quarterly. Cant say enough about this little tucked away gem.

My wife and I have traveled from Napa Valley to the Cote d Or in search of fine red wines. Weve found several nice ones along the way; however, this small winery in NJ knocked our socks off. It is one of 2 that we loved each wine they offered. I am sooo happy to see that we can now order it online and do not have to trek all the way back to NJ when we need a fix.

Super friendly folks working here that also know their wine. We got to do a barrel tasting with the cellar master. Their tastings are quite generous. We ended up leaving with a case of wine, which shows how good and affordable this place is. Definitely come for a visit!

Their Europa red wines are some of the best in the state. However, with many of them having a lot of Cab Sav I assume the grapes are coming from out of state. Very hard to grow Cab Sav in NJ with the short growing season.

Worth the time to come out to Amalthea for a wine tasting. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. The location is a little difficult to find, so bring it up in Google Maps if youre unfamiliar with the area.

Wonderful red wine, most of the Europe blends are great and some are among the best wine Ive had. Great outdoor seating and special events area. The multi bottle refillable container is great.
