Instead of writing a review, I will just post the email I sent to Mr. Wolfner, the owner of Riverside about my experience. Still to this day I have had zero response from him or his company. "Dear Mr. Wolfner, I have put a lot of time whether or not to send you this message about an experience I had at your golf course the other day. So Ill just start from the beginning. My father, M*** R*****, 52 years old is a disabled United States Marine Veteran, honorably discharged in 70s. My father suffered a severe stroke in his late teens, leaving him with permanent brain damage, effecting simple tasks and motor skills such as walking, balancing, and speech. Not to noticeable sometimes due to the fact he has lived with this disability most of his life. My father and I enjoy playing golf for one simple reason we are both equally horrible at it but its a chance for us to catch up and compete against each other. Since late June him and I have played your course almost once a week sometimes up to three times in one week. We purchase items from the pro shop and concession stand on each visit. I have the punch card to prove it and my bank account reflects the nearly $500 him and I have spent there in that little amount of time. On August 12, 2015 we planned on playing at 3:45PM, I was running late so my father arrived before me and went inside the pro shop and asked "Ralph" it was ok to use the putting green since they had been under construction and Ralph stated "yes there open." So he went outside and putted around, then came back inside and purchased a candy bar, soda and a sports drink for me and went outside to the deck. I arrived around 3:00pm and met my father on the deck. We both went inside where we both came in contact with Ralph. We started to pay, me first, when Ralph looked at me and stated " make sure you dont let him drive" me figuring he was joking about it, us just being father and son I said something along the lines of oh dont worry I handle that. Again Ralph made a comment about my father not being able to drive the golf cart and I noticed this wasnt a joke. He looked at my father and said " you seem to be a little out of it" and then looked at me and ask if I thought he was able to drive which I stated yeah, I dont see why not? Again Ralph made a comment about my father driving. My father embarrassed, because this was not only being said in front of me but other adults in the pro shop. My father told Ralph, "sir, you dont even know me." Ralph stated, these are my carts and Im responsible for them. Thats when I cut in and said Ill drive and we walked out. After that the golf outing was no longer enjoyable. My dad sat quite next to me in the cart as I drove all nine holes. Nothing more was said about our experience, but I could tell he was embarrassed and frustrated. He was simply judged for being "slow" or not as quick as other customers Ralph may come in contact with throughout his shift. While driving home I thought of 10 different ways Ralph could have handled that situation in side the pro shop. Maybe being an adult for one and pulling my father to the side and asking him if something was wrong or asked me. But to judge him and then call him out in front of me, and other customers is totally out of line and uncalled for. In summary and this will probably have little to no effect, but I will no long play your course, I will tell my friends and family not to play there until my father receives a verbal or written apology from Ralph about how he treated him. I hope this message reaches you and I look forward to hearing back from you so him and I can return to Riverside."

I want to give this course 3 stars because it is a nice course to play. Greens are almost always in great shape. Fairways are good most of the time. But...heres the negative. I have played this course a half dozen times in the last year and it is always..and i mean ALWAYS overbooked. It took us just under 6 hours to complete the course our last outing! CRAZY! When we made the turn to hole 10 after 3 hours we were tired, hot, and hungry. We pulled our cart to the side so others could play through but there was really nobody behind us as most had given up on the long lines. We went in for a hotdog and a six pack of beer to go. As soon as we sat down in the clubhouse to eat, the Manager opened up the door and yelled across the room asking us if the cart on the side was ours...we said yes. He immediately started yelling at us in front of everyone telling us to hurry up and get moving because we had people coming around from hole 9. Feeling embarrassed, we jumped up and hurried out the door to move our cart out of the way. But as soon as we stepped outside there was nobody on hole 9 or 10, and our cart was well out of the way. We started walking towards the manager to let him know that anyone can pass and to have a civil conversation but he just gave us an ignorant hand motion to hurry the hell up. So we did. Id like to say that it ended there and we finished the back nine and had a great day but that is not the case. We were hounded by the marshall before we even hit the green in 2 on hole 10! And then most of the back nine. Now after spending $50 and however much more on beer and 2 dogs, along with fixing divots, practicing good golf etiquette, and being mindful of other golfers around us, you would think that there was a "thanks for moving so quickly boys, we appreciate it". No. Nothing. We most certainly will not be back.

Pros: After playing Sugar Creek the day before, Riverside had a much better value. It was the same price but a much better maintained course. Fairways and greens looked great. Cons: The clubhouse did a poor job organizing the flow of play. Myself and the guy behind me were both singles and ahead of me was a threesome. I dont understand why they wouldnt have just paired me and the guy behind together but on the 3rd hole we did it ourselves. There were no course marshals which normally wouldnt bother me but on the back 9 we got stuck behind a couple drinks and it would have been nice if a club employee were driving around managing things like that. Overall I will definitely return. Great course for the money. More par 3s than I expected. They also have a 9 hole par 3 for practice.

I overheard the management talking to a group after they had completed 9 holes and before they started the back 9, telling the group how they cost the course $75 because 3 golfers did not show. First of all if the manager wanted to ensure all reservations were paid he would change the way reservations are taken and have customers pay in advance (ie airline and hotel business). It was a poor display of customer service to interrupt their round to gripe about lost revenue. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.... I will never play there again even after having the second best round of my life there, that day.
