Was in there today to play a game of pool with my boyfriend and the it costed $2.00 for the game of game of pool, the felt on the table was crap, the cue ball was all beat up, there was only 1 pool cue, there was no chalk, and when we asked the server if there was some he stated that the cleaning crew probably threw it away. We ordered a Cherry Coke and a glass of water, the cherry coke was 95% grenadine with a splash of coke and paid $2.25 for the soda. Than the server kept bugging us if we wanted to order anything, finally my boyfriend said he would look at the menu and when the menu was brought to us it was a flimsy piece of paper that was laminated and had spilled dried up coffee/soda and food on it. I used the ladies restroom and was nauseated by the extremely overwhelming air freshner, that I had to hold my breathe the whole time I was in the restroom. Upon returning to our table i happened to look up and the ceiling was so water stain damaged that it looked as if someone pissed all over the ceiling. I do not see us returning to this establishment anytime soon, which is a sad thing since this used to be a place that my boyfriend frequent.

Im from Hopkins and recently had my 25 year reunion there. Im a mother of a 1 & 2 year old so getting out for an evening is a rarity. I went with some old high school friends and we arranged for transportation as we knew wed be indulging. The bartender was great, however the woman who was managing was HORRID, she was EXTREMELY rude and proceeded to cut me off because I told her just how rude I thought she was! Ive worked in the bar business for over 24 years, and this was a first for me! I will not be going back ANY time soon if this is the kind of people they choose to "manage" their establishment. Needless to say we were happy to walk across the street and take our business elsewhere!

Went there to order a meal with my wife and Saudi Arabian friend and had a mid 40s white waiter come to our table. He explained the specials and my Saudi friend said he would have the special. The waiter then patronized my friend about where he was from and then in a bullying manner said that "women here order first". It was so appalling to watch this racist tone develop in a seemingly diverse town, that we spoke to the Manager, offered to pay for our beers, which was nice of them to say dont worry about it, and then we left.

First visit, four stars. Second visit, less than one star. Terrible service. Waitress literally rolled her eyes at our table. Tried this place for the first time during a busier Saturday night dinner rush. Great service for the amount of customers. Very friendly and outgoing server. (Unfortunately I cant remember his name.) Burger that I tried was very good! Only complaint was that the fries that came with the burger were cold. Id assume theyd been sitting around for a while due to their texture and coldness.

Mainstreers is a Hopkins fixture! Ive been here many times over the years and they have a stage with live music, private room off to the side for events, theyre open until 2 (at least on weekends), and they gtaciously support the Hopkins Raspberry Festival every year and donate a very nice brunch buffet for visiting ambassadors from neighboring communities and festival volunteers on Raspbrrry Parade Day! Several long-term employees so you know management takes care of their people.

Great atmosphere despite the horrible experience the employees create. Most of the servers have been nice but the security and bar tenders are straight up rude and they are losing a lot of patrons because of it. Owning a restaurant and bar is more than just serving food and drinks, you need to make sure your employees are delivering on a great all around experience and that has definitely not been the case.

Its fun going to a place where everyone knows your name and they are always glad you came. A place where you can see that our troubles are all the same. I like being at a place where everyone knows my name. Also, good wings, ice chilled glasses for beer, bands every Friday and Saturday and PULLTABS.

Mainstreet Bar & Grill has an outstanding atmosphere combined with great food, good service, and always a solid selection of tunes playing in the background or live on stage. Small town feel with everything you could want in a bar scene. Try the Jucy Lucy!

I only went to this place once! AND the one time I went, the Customer service was horrible!! They told my husband and I to sit where ever we want. While we sat and waited for our server to come, no one came to serve us! Horrible. Just horrible.

Mainstreet is a quiet townhall type pub with great beer battered fish on fridays, live local music on the weekends, and good local beers on tap. Servers are friendly. Food is good. Atmosphere is low-key. Oh, and theres free popcorn :)

I sang with a band here back in the early 00s. Came back this week for a pre-concert snack. The food is still great. I love their chicken wings (many flavors) and a great Happy Hour special. Check it out when youre in Hopkins, MN!

Didnt serve me and my friends because we werent friends with the owners. Sad to see, I live in Hopkins and love to support local business but this one will never get my business. Maybe next time they will respect others.

Hit or miss with table service, food and drink quality. Happy Hour 2 for 1s make it worth it. Definitely a place to check out if youre in the area, but dont get your hopes up compared to other bars in Hopkins.

Pretty good prices on craft beer. Wait staff was very nice, could have been more knowledgeable but service made up for it. Working class food and beer with open kitchen and daily specials on board.

The restaurant was not extremely bust and the wait time was short. They also had live music. The Cajun tater tots were OUTSTANDING!!!! I really recommend this restaurant. I have no complaints.

Theyve got a great Chicken BLT sandwich. The fries are terrible so go with onion rings. This is a great place to listen to racist and homophobic locals spout off about politics and sports!

An awesome place to hang out with friends to shoot pool (free on Monday till 11!) They got live music on weekends as well. You should also know their House Brew beer is AWESOME!!!

Had a great hamburger and honestly some of the best french fries Ive ever had. Very friendly bar tender. The car is not fancy but very comfortable.

Nice little bar with good burgers and drinks. The staff is friendly. I wouldnt order the fish. Both times they came out soggy or hard.
