I was at the Barn recently for a wedding reception. While the perfect weather and overall environment on the day I visited may have influenced this review (Clear blue skies, a few puffy, white clouds, a nice breeze, about 80 degrees and low humidity. 6 hawks circled above a wooded hill rising from a beautiful field with a flock of plovers regularly crossing it. Near postcard perfection.) the Barns location is excellent if you prefer a rural setting, as I do. The service staff was attentive & friendly, without giving the feeling somebody was constantly hovering over your shoulder. The function hall interior has a sophisticated, yet rustic feel to it that I felt was perfect in light of the location. While rustic, the hall, entries and restrooms were very clean. The food, from appetizers to main course were all very good, served at a proper temperature. I cant comment on their full menu because it was a wedding reception with a limited choice of meals. But, based on the quality of what I had in the function room, I would certainly visit the restaurant at the same location, which has a full menu. All in all, I cant think of a single thing about the Barn at Gibbet Hill, based on my single visit, to criticize. I enjoyed it very much.

Great looking venue but the bar service was terrible. They listed the bar open for beer and wine from 6pm - 11pm on all of their signs but fail to mention they close 15 minutes early, at 10:45pm, every event. I tried telling them that it was deceiving to list their bar hours like this for every event and they dismissed it as not a big deal and that "the hosts were aware" but thought they did nothing wrong. Everyone was expecting one last drink at 10-15 til and it wasnt happening. Pretty inconsiderate for them to do with no admission and wouldnt even acknowledge that they should list their bar open until 10:45 on all their signs...

Attended a function in the "Barn" - a nice open venue. Food (appetizers) was good. Pleasant setting, including the patio (the adjacent farms had not spread their fertilizer yet). Parking lot was at its limit, not sure if that is typical. Will have to come back to try their normal restaurant.

Went to a wedding and everything was amazing. The servers were responsive, the venue was very clean and the food was great! It was definitely worth driving up from RI.

Went to a wedding there and it was not only beautiful but the food was amazing! Really good quality food. Like one of the best fillet mignon Ive ever had.
