Last night some friends and I went to their "Margarita Moonlight Cruise and Nightclub Tour" which turned out to be a total scam. How do I know this? I work for a company down south that does something similar except we have something called business ethics, which this company clearly does not have. We were given an address and told to look for people with signs. We walked around for a good 20 minutes before we could find people. Once we did they were extremely rude to us (especially the woman). We were told that they wouldnt give us a boarding time for the boat, only to come back before the boat leaves. Once on board it was cash bar, the music was great, and the cruise was short, but it was still enjoyable. The problem that I did have with the cruise was that the pricing was posted everywhere. The adult ticket price was $14. When we arrived back to shore, I asked the woman if we would have time to use the restrooms before we walked a mile to the next stop. She told me to use the restroom on the boat, which didnt have toilet paper, and then left me in the restroom after my boyfriend told her that I was still in the restroom THAT SHE TOLD ME TO USE. After the cruise we were then suppose to be led on a "Nightclub Tour". That must have been a joke. The 3 useless tour guides walked with us for 1 mile...yes, ONE MILE, and dropped us off at a SPORTS bar. At this point I was at least expecting a drink ticket or something...or a TOUR would have been nice since thats what they called it. No, we were just led to this bar by foot and then left. Literally they walked us there and then left us. I walked back out to ask what we paid for and I was told to "take it up with the company and get out of the doorway". I couldnt believe how distasteful they were. We were completely confused at this point because we werent sure what the $35 paid for...Im well aware that they are a FOR-PROFIT business, but anyone who has common sense knows that there has to be some sort of value to a product or service. Basically, I paid $35 PLUS the cost of drinks for a $14 cruise, 3 guides that were not in uniform and couldnt answer any questions, a hike in in 6" heels, and admission to a sports bar that would have been free even if we walked in off the street. Read other reviews on yelp, google, etc. Im clearly not the only one that feels this way. Total scam!

We paid $35.00 for each of the tickets, and Im still trying to figure out what we paid $35.00 for. We found the cruise at the dock with three of TTD employees working, we checked in and boarded the boat. The boat ride was disappointing, but I realize that was out of TTD control. When exiting the boat, I noticed that there was signage all over the boat that advertised the night cruise at $14.00 for adults...ok. We then walked a mile, yes it was a mile to the "Rhino" a sports bar on M Street. Out of curiosity I approached the head door man, did not identify myself as with the "ThingsToDoDC" Group, and asked how much cover was tonight. He replied, "We never have cover on Sundays, including tonight." So then I asked one of the TTD "guides" why we had paid $35 for a $14 cruise, and then been led to a sports bar, not a club, on foot, over a mile away, that wasnt even charging cover to the general public. The guide then shrugged his shoulders, and said, "I dont know." He looked at another guide and she gave an identical response. After quizzing them for a moment longer, they directed me to contact the office with any comment, complaint, or concern. There was no added value to this at all, for example no drink coupons, friendly tour guides, or shuttle to the bar...etc. I feel incredibly shafted here, and really disappointed. Things to Do DC IS A HUGE RIP OFF

Ive had a great experience during several events Things To Do has organized! Their embassy events gave a unique look into dozens of other countries while allowing me meet and get to know some great friends. Their New Years Gala was by far my favorite event. This enormous party is the only way to rock in the New Year. I recommend it to all of my friends every year.

ThingsToDC has been vital in helping me network since I have moved to DC as a full time student and young professional. The work that they do is outstanding and have created opportunities for me that have yielded great results. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to network or simply have a good time at one of their many events, to check them out.

I moved to the DC area, knew literally nobody. I was bored one night and googled things to do in DC. Things to do DC popped up. I saw a few events that sounded interesting, I booked a few events that weekend and never stopped. I met a lot of great people, made amazing friends, and went to awesome places. Highly recommend! Thanks Greg!

Embassy black tie galas, New Years around the world to paint ball. One of the best organizations in Washington DC. For many years I would chose a few events monthly and then have a blast. These events are diverse and fun for young and experienced. Look forward to next event.
