This is a reservoir, not an attraction... This is THE nicest stretch of wilderness area in the area. It is here to provide clean drinking water. Not a play area for kids and families. Yes, you can hike the many trails with your kids, but it isnt here for your family enjoyment and convenience. "Lights to make the place safer" take away from the feeling of nature. is a wild area that you are allowed to hike at. Not everything has to be a strip mall put there for your safety, and enjoyment. There are very very few wild areas left in the the Baltimore area. If you want to get away from people and crowds, this is one of the few areas. Either embrace it, or go to a park with swing sets.

This is a beautiful lake bordering Carroll and Baltimore counties. The potapsco river valley once flowed here. Good fishing with resonably priced permit by boat. At this day and age I can only wonder why public beaches and or fishing and picnic area is not here. Fish pee in water also. So close to urban areas. Nicodemus bridge is good spot but railing is verry high. Such a opportunity to add to the area. Here kids could catch catfish and stipers all night but they kick you out. Hey give the people some recreation. Open a beach with pier and picknic area. Maby one night fishin saturday a week. A fee to pay attendant.lights to make it safe. Or let people get in trouble with little to do.

Nice primitive natural areas. Decently kept. Lots of trails. Pretty views at times near the waterfront areas. Decent fishing. Strict boating rules - permit required, no gas engines... Some parts more remote than others - still hear traffic sounds from many if not most areas. Bottom line: great places to get out into nature for locals... But not worth long travel for sightseeing!

Great place to take a walk in the woods. Lots of walking trails with easy access from the road. Plenty of bank fishing, as well as a boat ramp. Boats do need a special sticker to put in. Hunting during deer season is also pretty good, but you need a special stamp for that as well.

Awesome reservoir! Each time Ive gone, we have caught loads of bass, including some giants. There are two boat ramps and both are really great ramps. I would definitely recommend this spot to any bass fisherman.

I grow up on Liberty Reservoir! It is a beautiful place to go have peace and quite. You can go hiking, canoeing, fishing, or just an evening stroll. All of my kids have grown to love this place as well.

Liberty Reservoir has several trails to choose from. Unfortunately, none of them are marked at all. Go there with lots of free time, and the desire to walk. Otherwise, it is a great environment to be in.

Good place to fish but they kick you out when it gets dark and they close the reservoir in the fall, just when the fishing gets good. Pretty sad considering the fees and tax we pay for this place.

Paths are well maintained, the reservoir is kept very clean and the surrounding forest is well maintained. Great place to get out and hike or go for a short walk.
