The Hotel was nice, and beautiful. Our daughter and her family stayed in a room at the hotel, they had arrived with us in our mt home. My complait is about the spinless jerk that became a pain in the @-s the night we parked our unit there. We were told by the day manager, no problem, just park up in the upper parking lot out of the way of the people staying in the rooms down at the hotel. No problem an we did. We found a flat area next to the back of the building, (we had assumed it was the back as the doors were on the far end of the building from where we parked.) So we leveled up. Jumped in the tow car to take in the island. Later when driving by the motel on the way to a restaurant we noticed someone had parked a backhole behind our mthome and a pickup truck in front of it, pinnung us in. With concern, the hotel was called about the situation, they assured us it would be taken care of asap. When we came back the two vehicle were gone! Great! Well, we thought it was. Now there were people in this building and we seen them moving about a lot during the evening because of the way we were parked. We went to bed about 10:30 pm., just got to sleep and someone started banging on our door and hollering, "you have to wake up and move now!" Well it scared us, we thought maybe the building was on fire or something. (I have some bad health issues and anyone can see the handicap licensings on our vehicle.) It was some guy wanting us to move because he was having a meeting at 9am here in the morning and we couldnt park here. My husband assured him that wed be out of there by that time. Jerk didnt like it but walked away. So we went back to bed. At 1:15am he was back beating on our door again! "you have to move, I told you to move!" All I can say is he ought to be glad my husband has mellowed over the last few years, 10 years ago that jerk wouldve got a good ole fashion butt whippn! We could see the writing on the wall, this is what hed keep doing all night, so we had to pick up, put in the slides and store the jacks and we moved up into the touring parking lot which he said to go too. Not a good place for a lg mt home to be parked if tours started early. If that happened wed be blocked in till who knows when! But we had no choice so we did and the rest of the night was horrible for fear wed been led astray in parking here. So we were up n around at 7 and there was an attendent so we told them what happened and they assured us we were fine. At nine we walked down to our daughters room n told them about our horrible night at this beautiful hotel. AND there was only one car in that parking lot! When we checked out our daughter went to the office to make sure they knew what happened! But first she asked about the meeting that was suppose to be in that building. They said that it was such a small group they moved them to a smaller room. When she told them about the evening we had they apologize and said theyd look into it. Why that spinless jerk didnt come out when we were still up instead of waiting till we went to sleep really upset our daughter and she was really unhappy about it. They apologized again and assured her this problem would be looked into. Dont know if that ever happened but thats my complaint about this place.

We had a wonderful room with a beautiful view from the balcony. Unfortunately, it was cold and we had little time to sit outside. We arrived quite late and the person that met us was very kind and helpful. He assigned us a room but when we went to the room it was occupied so we needed to trek back to the main building to get a new room. Our keys did not work so finally the man at the desk walked over to our building only to discover that that room was also occupied. Third time was a charm and we sunk into a very comfortable bed with great pillows for a good night sleep. I used the pool and whirlpool each night that I stayed at the hotel and the pool water temperature was perfect. Breakfasts were absolutely fabulous with homemade blueberry muffins, banana bread and other homemade items as well as a hot egg dish (frittatta, quiches, etc) that offered a variety of ingredients. There was the usual complement of hot/cold cereals, fresh fruit, bagels, etc. Ward was an interesting person to talk to and we exchange recipe ideas and my husband discussed current events with him. While not much was open in Bar Harbor, we ate where the locals ate for dinner and enjoyed the quietness of the town before the rush of the summer season. I recommend others to enjoy the hotel and the attractions (mainly Acadia and the Cranberry Islands). You will not be disappointed.

OH MY GOD. I am still staying here (for work) and I am absolutely in love with this hotel. I travel often for work, but I am blown away with this hotel and the staff. The rooms are clean, gorgeous, and come equipped with a big balcony and an even better view. I attached a couple of pictures I took from this morning from my balcony. The breakfast is above and beyond your expectations. Egg ham and cheese croissants, countless danishes, so many different bagels, cereals, eggs, potatoes, and any beverage your little heart can desire. And the complimentary cookies tonight are baked with pure heaven; seriously, I think its caramel and macadamia nuts? Whatever it is, God truly made them! I also just got back from dinner with an very professional yet hilarious waiter, and ate the most amazing Maine Lobster (picture also included, and yes, youre welcome). If you have any questions on what hotel you should stay in on your visit to Bar Harbor, put them all aside and book this hotel today. It is amazing and you will absolutely love it.

We stayed in the "Atlantic View Building". Wow!!! Everything is new, clean, high-end and very stylish. The fabrics are beautiful, sheets are heavy cotton, mattresses are thick and lofty. Theres even a Minka ceiling fan with remote, flat screen TV, mini fridge, safe, microwave, hair drier, iron, extra pillows, and in this building all rooms have balconys with beautiful new weatherproof furniture. I hate old looking carpets and this is new, clean and barefoot ready. The bathroom fixtures are gorgeous, sparkling, contemporary sets, with undermount sinks in granite composite countertops sitting on a dark wood type furniture looking peice. We travel a lot all over the world and were very satisfied and felt pampered. I highly recommend this hotel and this building. The view off the balcony is just yards from the ocean. The moon was out and shining off the water. Why stay inland when this is affordable and so fun?

Stayed for 3 nights and during two of those nights the fire alarms went off several times in the middle of the night and it would go on for about half an hour before it would be shut off. I went to the front desk to find out what was going on and was told that this happens all the time and its "normal" and were not interested in helping the problem. The wifi works about 10% of the time sometimes it just wont let you connect and when it does it is very slow and wont even load a YouTube video. Rooms are fairly small and the only reason I gave 2 stars is because the free breakfast was okay. Would not recommend and will most certainly be looking into other hotels when returning to the area next year.
