Absolutely beautiful layout, you can tell this was once a wonderful golf course with the potential of being one again under the right management with proper maintenance and upkeep. Just because I played it in September shouldnt mean I shouldnt be hitting off un-mowed tee boxes and long thick greens with dirt patches scattered everywhere on a Sunday morning 8am tee time. I only saw a couple bunkers on the primary 18 that could be treated as normal sand shots. Most bunkers would have to be played either as if the ball were on a solid surface or simply played as ground under repair despite there being no signs of repair being done. The one saving grace of this course is the layout, its gorgeous and challenging, and if time and money were reinvested in this course, it would be regular play for me as I live in the area. Theres no excuses for grass as tall as my teed-up ball on a tee box though. As Ive noticed this year with the other RN Thompson-owned courses in the city, theyre not being kept up with which tells me the group is no longer capable of remaining competitive in the golf scene. 2016 is the worst condition Ive ever seen Eagle Creek in and that has long been a staple course of mine year in and year out. I will not return to Ironwood anytime soon, as another person said, theres plenty of courses in the area that charge similar fees and keep their courses in much better condition. I wont spend $49 on below-average playing conditions. Ironwood should close their third 9-hole course and focus their resources on maintaining their beautiful primary 18.

I used to enjoy this course, but havent been playing it as much in the last few years and I think this past Saturday will be the last time ever. We got a lot of rain on Friday and this course sits very low, so understandably there was some water on it. 9 of the 27 holes were closed due to water so there was a major back-up on the first tee. Im fine with all of this so far, course cant control the weather. Then we start playing......there was standing water in the middle of the fairways on several holes. I lost multiple balls IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY! One of the par 4s was turned into a par 3 because of the water. None of this was mentioned to us upon check-in, and we were charged the normal Saturday morning rate. Had we been told, I probably would have just left, or at the very least only played if the fee was significantly reduced. The message sent by the course is- we care more about collecting your money than providing a quality golf experience. Well, they wont be getting anymore of my money. Besides, you can find much better courses for the same money around here.

This is Fred Hagemier , My son paid $44.00 for a Value card for Christmas ,I used this card today June 30 . This is where the insult started. I am 68 years old. My buddy who was with me is 76 years old, We should only have had to pay 29.00 each as seniors , my buddy paid 30.00 dollars and I had to pay 29.00 .The person at the counter kept stating that the price is $58.00 and Im getting a break. some break, I paid full price as senior and my buddy paid $1.00 more This is with the value card. Some one owes my son $44.00 for this useless value card. Is this card Just a scam or what? oh and the clerk said that sense i had this value card I Dont even get a receipt only my buddy received one. Who makes these rules.

For the price, this golf course isnt worth it at all. Paying $49 is robbery. I wouldnt pay more than $30 to play here because this course plays like other $30 courses Ive played. The first (and probably last) time I ever played here I shot a 78 from the tips. Not a long course at all. The only challenging part is trying to get your ball to land on decent grass in the fairway! The greens are not well maintained. I had to move my ball on a couple greens so that I wouldnt be putting through canyons. Tee boxes werent in good shape either. There are plenty of MUCH nicer courses for the SAME price in the area.

Total disappointment with the course this year. Not maintained well at all. weeds are growing all over the place. I do play RN Thompson courses a lot. This is well below their other course. Avoid Ironwood this year, hope they will do something about the weeds soon before they lose more business.

I would play here maybe if it was $10 per 9 holes. Patches missing on and around green. Some of the fairways looked like my yard after 2 weeks of not mowing. Way too expensive.

Challenging course, in mostly excellent condition, beautifully laid out, with houses a safe distance, but admirable. I wish I could afford to live there!

Expensive course but in good shape. Sometimes the ruff is too long but the driving range is a great deal.
