The facilities are really nice and the staff is very friendly. I have enjoyed the shows I attended here. But I have to say there is one downside to this place, the other patrons. It is normally a older crowd that is very rude. I am in my mid thirties and the date I took here was in her young 30s. We were dressed as a typical mid age couple, nothing trashy or tasteless. But my date did have one of the other patrons took bad about her dress to her face while we were visiting. I felt this was rude as theatre should be about enjoying the show and encouraging the younger generations to partake as well

I went on a library trip to see Company. A great show and a beautiful facility. It wasnt an issue to me but the theater is not very well designed for the mobility challenged. I talked to one of the ushers during intermission and they didnt understand the design either as seating is split in half and you cant enter/exit from upstairs on one whole side of the theater.

Wonderful community asset; Glencoe is thrilled to have it here. Interior design is striking and interesting. Building exterior design not a success; north and west facades seemingly ignored during the design process; visual impact on adjacent residential and childrens park properties mostly negative.

Visited the other day and was blown away. Glencoe is a special place, and the new Writers Theatre has added to it immeasurably. Where else in suburbia does one find a place like this? The theatre reminds me of a modern structure in Seoul more than anything else. I absolutely love it.

The environment is completely open and natural lighting of the space distinguishes the theatre from all others in the Chicagoland area. The theatre auditorium is also a very intimate space that invites the audience in to the show for a unique experience.

Very comfortable and relaxing atrium, the theatre is an intimate size in a circular format surrounding the stage, providing a good view from nearly any seat. During performance can run cold in the performers space.
