We had a few issues Today, on a chilly winter morning. First off, one of our 4some booked the T-Time last Tuesday, and was told the price would be $41 with the paradise card. When we got to the course, we were charged $60+tax. We explained that we were told the rate would be $41, and the cashier explained that the rates just went up on Friday(what??!!). He had no control and that we would have to speak to the manager after our round, that he had no control. So like we wanted to schlep back in there to explain our case again in being overcharged $76.00 total, to the second shift cashier and again to the manager on duty. He debated with us, and without much fuss, offered to give us each a half price raincheck. We werent looking for a credit, or to be made feel like a second class citizen, we just wanted out $19.00 back, like we were quoted ont he phone. Was the increase to cover the cost of a greenskeeper? To buy some sand? grass seed? windshields? Regarding the raincheck, which was good for only 60 days, Ill not be using it, as the course conditions were terrible. Not sure who came up with the idea to raise the rates when the course is in such bad shape, but Im offended to be charged $60 with paradise (youre charging $80+-are you kidding?) There is grass growing in the bunkers, which most had no sand, only wet hardpan in many bunkers, and most were not raked or groomed, weeds on many or most of the greens, and on a 50 degree morning, a windshield would have been nice. The starter told us the windshieds were nixed when they put the GPS in. "We had to cut corners somewhere"; Im glad it didnt rain. Wed rather have played the Forest at the Eagles, it is in much better shape currently, and I never thought Id say that. Im going to log into my american express account and do a $19.00 chargeback, and throw this raincheck in the fireplace. Get it together Westchase. These conditions arent sue to summer rains as noted in a previous post. These conditions are casued by lack of profit and/or reinvestment in maintaining a facility. Word speads quickly, and by looking at the other posts, the word is out.

Recently I had a 50th birthday party at the WestChase Clubhouse.....Two words pop into my mind to describe the overall experience~~Simply PERFECT!!! Lauren and her staff were a DELIGHT to work with from the first time I met her and gathered info for the party. She handled each and EVERY step with 100% Professionalism, courtesy and ease!! I had worked in this industry for many years and can assure you I have NEVER had a easier time at pulling a party together. She handled each step herself and kept me informed the entire way. The day of the event she took a nervous wreck, me, and convinced me everything would run smooth... Smooth cant even begin to describe the party. The food was beyond AMAZING, her and her staff were MORE than sweet and accommodating and everyone had a INCREDIBLE time!! If anyone is looking for a AMAZING place to have any type party you need to contact Lauren and you will see what I mean.. 100 % bar none the BEST in WestChase and probably the entire area. I make visits to Tampa regularly for my job and always come to Westchase to play. This has been the worst I have seen Westchase in a long time. I called to speak with the Director of Operations or the GM and neither were in both days that I called (Weds & Friday). What is the point of having either of those titles if they dont work? I left a message for both them and neither have gotten back to me. That is just terrible management. The course itself is awful the greens are the worst greens around the area. The course is going down the drain in every possible way. Management and course maintenance are obviously not doing their jobs. I HIGHLY recommend never going to this course again. So many other great courses in the area that its not even worth it!

Good: Nice layout, good condition, high rough, fair greens, challenging, good location. Bad: Went to the range pre-round and a employee was fishing for balls directly in front of us preventing us from hitting. 80% of maintenance staff does not stop their activities for you to take your shot. Pin locations on this day were not input into the GPS system. Called the pro shop and they said system was not working and they did not have sheets or anything for guidance. Not what I expect for $100 fee course in this market.

Played last Saturday with 7 of my friends who were in town visiting and was embarrassed at the course conditions.Now I must say that usually the greens and fairways are in great shape but Saturday in no way was it worth what we paid.In its present condition the course isnt worth the rates charged.I believe the course conditions should factor into the rates charged and not dominated by the season.

The greens have historically been the worst in the area compared to similar courses, but they have reached a new low. Slow and full of crabgrass! While other courses skip on maintenance, they realize good greens are the key to getting return business. I took a friend from out of town to play there and it was embarrassing. Wont be back anytime soon.

When I last played it this course was in great shape. Course put in new greens over the summer and they were solid. Staff is friendly and priced very fairly. This course has one of the better locations in Tampa...just a few minutes from the Tampa airport. Definitely a must play in the Tampa area.

Just a really nice course for the average guy like myself. Challenging hazards, well kept greens and fairways, and great staff. Unfortunately, the only negative I have for the place is that my ball kept slicing all day long....never experienced that at other courses! ;)

Nice place to go and very close to Zaksee Bird sanctuary , you going to love it if you go there just call Magic to see if you can see Zaksee as well, you can visit zaksee website s well or just Google Zaksee and you see what the love for parrot is.

Fairways in good shape. Greens were horrible. They were mowing tee boxes and not replacing tee markers. They are committing grand theft charging $48 to play this course. Other courses in better shape for a much better price

Great layout. Very nice greens, approaches and fairways. Nice and woodsy for the majority of the course and nice real estate along some of the holes. . Good experience for the low greens fee.

When Im in the Tampa Bay area I love playing this course. Beautiful layout with friendly staff. I would recommend placing some type of yardage markers in the water on the practice range.

Used to be a very nice course, now its like a warzone, it looks like a bomb site for mcdill airforce base testing out new weaponary...you have been warned..Get it together w chase!

Really enjoyed the course and staff-conditions were fine. Heard that last summers rains affected course but did not see any problems now. Price was good . Will play again.

The staff is great, the course is ALWAYS in wonderful shape and the practice areas are awesome. You must check this place out, it is worth the money.
