Weve been here a couple of times since we moved to FL. The country club sits on the main avenue of the Woodlands subdivision of Tamarac. It is the home port for two 18 hole golf courses and in the center of a wide range of homes from some nearly ramshackle HUD homes to some gorgeous high end properties. First, there is the issue of parking. The clubhouse sits on a hill. We all know that hills are pretty much nonexistent in FL, so they must have built one just for this structure. The parking is about a block down below the clubhouse. This would include the "accessible" parking for those with handicaps. You can either walk up the long hill to the clubhouse, or take about 5 sets of stairs to get you there. Either way, if you have challenges, there is no good way. When we went in, there was nobody there, so we had to guess where to find the room for the party. There is a small "elevator" for taking people from one floor to the other, if necessary. The last time we went, I had to use it and, if nothing else, it was an experience. Its an open, sort of cage like contraption, that slowly rattles from one floor to the next. I was glad that I didnt need to use it again, because I didnt trust it years ago, and I doubt that its gotten any better. The general appearance of the clubhouse is dark and dated. It was built in 1968 and Im not sure there has been any updating since. We guessed our way to the party room. The drinks were actually good and had a decent amount of alcohol. Hor doeuvres consisted of a cheese plate, some good spinach and artichoke dip, some hummus which totally lacked any seasoning or flavor other than garbanzo beans, and a cheese spread. Later there were some good meatballs and average spinach pockets. It is my understanding from some of the members that the fees for belonging to this establishment are, "substantial." Weve been to a number of country clubs over the years, and this one just isnt consistent with what you would expect.

Attention à l’arnaque. Après le golf je me suis présenté au bar du club avec mes amis golfeurs et j’ai commandé un verre de Pinot noir à la serveuse, j’ai reçu un verre de vin trop chaud, pas certain encore que c’est du pinot et une facture de 15,05 $, ce fut le premier et le dernier verre que je commanderai au Woodland.

Worst experience of my life. We booked a year in advance and 3 times they changed the coordinator to a different person and had to completely renegotiate everything. We fought for months to get a contract. They are crooks and liars, completely unorganized and incompetent. They will not be able to continue doing business this way and it is a shame because it is a beautiful place, too bad it is full of idiots. Do not even think about trying to book your wedding with them, run away.

This was an awesome club. Fabulous clubhouse. Staff were very helpful. It did help that it was raining and so we were the first one out at ten am. Price is high and rentals were newer taylor made. Had to leave your charge card behind. Course was in great shape and with large greens. Even though there are townhomes all around, we did not find they got in the way of drives since the layout was setup well or was wider. Rentals was pricey at around fifty each or more.

Course has improved its conditions tremendously over the past couple years. One of the best public, budget friendly courses around. Great deal with the profusion package($7.25 added to the round). You get a meal, range balls, free replay, 2 for 1 drink coupon, and 10% off merchandise coupon! They also have affordable memberships that pay for themselves depending on how often you play.

Fair warning the GPS will get u lost ..Not that its hard to find but its a cream building on a mini hill lol but aside from that its great the ppl the valet the host and let me tell u just awesome ..Just wish the gave u double or triple the amount of food because I attended a wedding and it was great cool smooth and the open bar was great ...Its was just great

Great Course. Excellent Staff. I recently started playing golf, i have always complained to a pro friend of mine about the starters. most of the courses have extremely rude starters, but not this course. Hal has been very friendly and very nice to us. I drive 40 miles north every Sunday to play woodland, just because of Hals hospitality.

This was probably once a really upscale club. The course is well laid out and they do have accurate greens. The recession probably hit them hard and today its pretty tired. Service was fair, carts decent, fairways pretty rough but I know theyve had a drought. Paid $65 on a very dead Thursday

RACIST STAFF ALL FELOW BLACKS BEWARE!! As I walked in I could hear the staff whispering the N WORD and other racist slanders about me, apparently having an afro is a crime in this country club...

Nothing good. Way overpriced. They were putting groups off the back until 830am. We turned, and waited 25 minutes. Terrible course management. Course average at best. Never playing again.

I dont know about the reviews on the clubhouse, but I had a great time on the course. Challenging, good length, course was in great shape. Definitely going to return.

Chris the pro shop attendant was very rude. He does not speak to you in a friendly manner. The greens are in great shape though!
