They use 9 foot tables here. They are well maintained (re-clothed once or twice a year). Spacing between tables is good enough to play without too many distractions. One of the big issues (no fault of Snookers) is that there is a club next door. What this means, is you will NOT find parking most Friday and Saturday nights. Youll drive up to Snookers expecting to have a nice night of pool, and instead youll find hundreds of cars and hundreds of people lining up to get into the club next door. The main reason this pool hall lost 2 stars is due to the following. First of all, the food at this pool hall is decent, but its EXPENSIVE. It seems like theyve been raising their prices every couple of weeks. Good luck getting a refill on that fountain soda you ordered. You might get one refill if you ordered food, but youll be paying for every refill after that. If you didnt get food, youll have to pay for all refills (even though the syrup and water in one fountain soda probably costs 5 or 6 cents). It seems like they are trying to price gouge you at every step of the way. This pool hall has also been known to be poor hosts to some of the pool leagues that play there (APA included). If you played in APA and happened to be playing at Snookers one night, dont expect to get in any practice. Even though there might be quite a few tables open and not being played on, they will not allow you a practice table. On more than one occasion, weve had to pay out of our own pockets to get a table to practice on (in addition to the game fees for the league.) Ive known a few people who have filed complaints about Snookers with the APA. Decrease the price gouging, get dedicated Snookers only parking, and be more accommodating to APA, and this bar will earn 4 or 5 stars.

Im a BCA instructor from Massachusetts, in the area on family business and I thought I would check out the local pool scene since Ill be retiring down here part time at some point. So far, the only place Ive run into that is dedicated to pool and is set up for a person to actually play pool and not have to tolerate vast quantities of smoke, noise, drunks, sports TVs, etc. is Snookers. The tables are well maintained, the balls arent knicked or out of true and when its open, you can play pool (not true of some of the other sports bars with pool tables). The prices (by Massachusetts standards) are reasonable. I expect to get what I pay for, so good tables, clean balls, a quiet environment and no drunks are worth what is probably a premium price to the local residents. If youre in the area and want to go somewhere that isnt a bar with a few tables bolted onto it but a place set up to play pool, come to Snookers. In the interest of full disclosure, I havent been to all the pool/billiards establishments in the area, but so far Snookers is the best by a long stretch.

The prices have almost doubled for everything since last year. Table time is $9 an hour, even for one person. Poor quality food at a high price (Larry burger for $10? WTF!!!) They even have the audacity to charge $2 for a styrofoam cup of water. Owner Larry Knox is a crook and doesnt give a d*mn about his customers. Try Pockets or Halligans instead. The tables may not be as good, but the prices are better and the service is top notch.

If you want to pool this is a very nice place with the best equipment in town. Just be careful when giving your bank card when holding a table as the staff lost my card and ended up giving it to the wrong person and that person was a female how can you confuse a guys card with a girls is ridiculous!!! They should start asking for ID when paying with your credit card and situations like this could be avoided.

Really smokey; beer selection is sub-par but at least they offer some variety. Lots of high-quality TVs to watch all of the sports plus a great soundsystem. The food is amazing, but its the staff that keeps us going back--everyone is super friendly and efficient, never a dull moment, and they make some mean cocktails!

This place is ok, but a little bit on the expensive side and on the south side of town, its kind of a bummer to go to. And when the club is bumpin its hard to find parking and you can get stuck at times

The pool tables are in good quality but it is expensive to play. The food is good as well as the general ambiance and atmosphere. Smoking is permitted so it can be an annoance for non smokers.

Awesome employees, giant, delicious chicken wings, good burgers. I will come back. Oh, the shots are amazing! For six bucks I got a double tequila. It was a whole rocks glass full. Nice!

After a long love affair with this bar, Ive moved on but I left because I had to move out of town for a job. Best bar in Tallahassee, friendly staff, and a good selection of beer.

Great pool, great food, great staff. Best pool hall in town. Food is much better than your regular bar fare. Bartenders and servers are personable and on the ball.

Best tables in town. Manager is cool, waitresses are nice for than most part. Good felt. The owners are a pool family, so they take care of their equipment.
